Boring beats entertainment I agree but I'd rather see serious action to address the situation facing many Australians at present.Has to be the most boring election in living memory wonder if that's a good thing politics shouldn't be entertainment like the reality / unreality absurd show in the US.
We did say this was going to be a big issue, with inflating away the debt, it helps the Government budget bottom line, but it hurts those who aren't in the housing market.Boring beats entertainment I agree but I'd rather see serious action to address the situation facing many Australians at present.
This sums it up well enough:
What I think we need is an honest, accurate measure of inflation.Possibly bring in the the ability for home buyers to claim their interest, but also cap the amount and introduce CGT on PPR, may be an option.
I haven't watched any of them and it doesn't sound like I've missed much.Did anyone watch the debate last night? I forgot to stock up on both anti-nausea and antidepressant pills, so skipped it for something less confronting, like a graphic documentary on the Armenian genocide.

A Dutton family trust operated lucrative childcare businesses while he was a cabinet minister. (ABC News: Matt Roberts)
In short:
Opposition Leader Peter Dutton was the beneficiary of a family trust for two years, but did not disclose this to parliament.
Four Corners investigated property records for both leaders, finding Mr Dutton's family, with his father Bruce, made almost $15 million over 20 years.
Documents show Mr Dutton's family also had a long business history with former childcare mogul Eddy Groves and his family.
Business records reveal new details of Dutton family's childcare millions

What did the ABC find out about Albo?
He has never had a ticket in his life and his ancestors lived in caves, paid rent and got up 2hrs before they went to bed, to work a 28 hr day.
How can't you love him, a true working class legend, I'm tearing up thinking about it.
He's got my vote already. Lol
Nothing like a cash poor politician If not all then most are all very wealthy individuals, having an ear on the ground floor!!!About Albo ? He has built up a property portfolio. Nothing like Peter Duttons or with the blatant conflict of interest situations.
And I believe Albo kept his records straight.
A portfolio connected by taxpayer built new road..$100 millions from taxpayers money or terrible Dutton having some part in a trust worth a few millions at most..About Albo ? He has built up a property portfolio. Nothing like Peter Duttons or with the blatant conflict of interest situations.
And I believe Albo kept his records straight.
@qldfrog Mr frog it would appear that the peasantry as a whole would rather vote early going by the numbers as seen on the TV news. When we voted on polling opening day in Midland there were plenty of people inside and out, and from what I was told by bloke controlling the show, would probably be a record turnout for day 1.The left 2025 in France, so far

How long for this to show here after reading the ABC ?
That party is the main left party btw, not a minor extremist branch.so the ALP equivalent, not the Green nuts.
All that to say that 2025 Australian Left is so far removed from the Hawke Keating years it is not funny....
But maybe the ALP should win, if only to take responsabilities of its own mess with the grid, taxation and debt, etc
Voted today in a good spirit Local hall.
The Greens are way out left!
