Just wanted to add, I usually end up just a tiny bit to the right of Horace on these things.

Yes. (I hope people in Spain and Portugal have one)Do you have your survivalist bunker stocked up yet wayne?
Oh, sorry, I thought you were leaving us. How is that going?
Maybe back to Canada if Pollivre wins, which looks unlikely.
@Knobby22 Known un-effectionally around here as "The Loon Brigade"The Greens are way out left!
Jeez Rumpy, your just bordering on right wing neo nazi territory.
The two most balanced people on the forum imo.Well here you go, you left and right wing loonies.
OMG, I'm right next to Rumpy.

It must be an age thing, everyone mellows as they get older. The two most balanced people on the forum imo.
Really not much difference between Lab and Lib this election.Yes you can tell it is an ABC funded test, its put Labor in the sweet spot.
Dutton has threatened to sell them off, so the Libs gets put in the loony area.![]()
IMHO the ABC will die a natural death as time moves on, it is getting crowded out by internet, streaming and social media, already its audience is mostly over 65 years old.Really not much difference between Lab and Lib this election.
Fact I am halfway between doesn't surprise.
I could easily switch my vote - but Dutton saying he will destroy the ABC is a vote loser for me.
I listen to the health report, and watch a few of the items on it e.g. Insiders.IMHO the ABC will die a natural death as time moves on, it is getting crowded out by internet, streaming and social media, already its audience is mostly over 65 years old.
The other problem that it has, with being so biased, it further alienates itself from large percentage of even its target audience.
The NBN has put the final nail in the ABC, it is only a matter of time before it is laid to rest.
Again only my opinion and I don't even have the NBN, but don't watch a lot of ABC because its coverage of politics and issues is way too one sided IMO.
Landline and Midsummer/BBC shows for English style lovers the only worthwhile watching imho.I think the trouble with the ABC is not political bias, which it has, but not as much as Newscorp, is the lack of intellectual content.
It seems to be dumbing itself down to interviews with pop "stars" and people's individual hard luck stories escpecially those affecting the indigenous people or women. It's been taken over by wokes and feminists in other words.
There is basically no science, technology, consumer affairs or anything else of an educative nature.
A dedicated education channel instead of the Comedy Channel would be a start.
I wouldn't begrudge it's budget if it supplied some worthwhile content that you can't get on YouTube.
Radio National is far more intellectual than the TV.I think the trouble with the ABC is not political bias, which it has, but not as much as Newscorp, is the lack of intellectual content.

Yes, I switched off ABC TV breakfast months ago and now listen to RN breakfast.Radio National is far more intellectual than the TV.
