As a experienced newbie I have been looking at tutorials on Binary trading

It all looks to easy
Ive read on here some traders are against Binary trading as have been labeled as a con
I'm wondering why

It looks somewhat easy (well that's what the online tutorials seem to try to get across)

So whats the catch

Re: Binary Trading: What's the catch?

The catches are

1 ~ The count down timer is ticking.

2 ~ Its a 50/50 mathematical odds event with a 45/55 payout..you getting the 45 piece of the pie.

These guys are bookies.

As long as Australia continues to have legal casinos and gaming machines then it would seem hypocritical to ban binary options trading, as it is just another form of gambling. However, if unscrupulous individuals sell binary options trading schemes to the public as an "investment" then I think ASIC or the ACCC should definitely crack down on that. Trading binary options is not investing, it is gambling. The public should be protected from those making false or misleading representations about financial products or services, but if someone wants to go and blow up a binary options trading account then I suppose they should be free to do so.
