ASF Members - Where Are They Now?

So during this last farcical week in OZ politics we haven't seen anything from our old mate noco which is very sad as he obviously hasn't been well enough to post so once again I'd like to pass on my best wishes to noco and his family :)

From another verbal foe of his, I echo your sentiment. :xyxthumbs

There was an incident a while ago when he went on a crazy posting spree and I had to pull him into line. I'm not sure if that is the cause of his absence, but I hope all is well in any case. I do not wish anyone any ill will and he has been an ASF member for more than 18 years.

Yes, I did notice that there was a Lot of posts for a while, I don't use the ignore button but I did stop reading them.

Scrolling works just as well and sometimes I need to see what folks are replying to.

Maybe he was trying to generate a bit of interest and response. However it did get a bit wearing.

I've got no objection to people posting links of interest. The dissemination of relevant information is a big part of what ASF is about, but providing context is also important. Post a link and then let others know what the link is about and why it is relevant. The added context assists those reading and can help move the discussion along.

See my post above. I'm all for generating interest and discussion but too many links with no context ends up just becoming noise.

Last seen on the thread below when he got miffed with Garpal.
I got @Country Lad mixed up with @countrylad (understandably, ffs)

"Country Lad replied to the thread Craton's personal COVID-19 vaccination journey.
@Garpal Gumnut Sorry gg but I have to say I find that quite insulting. There are a few of us here with a technical background or...

This is one of my favourite threads, finding out where fellow members are and what they are up to. Perhaps I should have been more explanatory and less black and white in my response to @Country Lad on the Craton Covid 19 thread when he became upset with what I thought at the time was a throwaway remark of mine of no consequence.

I trust that he is well and still watching ASF from the sidelines and will post again. I have much respect for him and read all of his posts.

Yes @debtfree , just saw that you posted this evening. Was going to comment but saw you had your profile blocked so wondered what was going on. Good to see your post!
