The Orange clown is 74 and borderline obese, there's a 8 or 9% chance it will kill him and maybe a 15% chance he will need a ventilator. if it takes him out of action for the next 15 days then the election is totally gone for him, if he comes thru it fast and easy then he is somewhat vindicated and will be some kind of hero for the right, no maskers etc...it's all or nothing.

The all or nothing could be slightly altered if Biden gets it too.they were debating less than a week ago and who knows when Trump got it, not a given he got contaminated by Hope.could have been before...that would be interesting..covid choosing the next president..china interference? Lol
Then i bet on Trump....

There's about a 2ish week lead time from infection to positive result last I checked.

Don't be surprised if biden or harris or whomever tests positive soon as we all know that all the advisors, staff etc rub shoulders with each other constantly. Not saying it's going to happen, but there's a very realistic probability that it does.

Think of all the things that have happened and consider none of them mattered as the SP500 is up 5% YTD.

The future earnings used to value the markets still exist whether Trump is around or not or if a million different things happen or not.

The pre open was interesting. A few of mine where the market depth has been positive for days, suddenly saw large numbers of both buyers and sellers appear. Sold a few at open just in case, including PFT on which I had commented elsewhere because of the low number of issued shares was obviously going to drop.

I've put in a number of limit bids for stock on the US Market. AAPL Apple is one at just above $51. ( I will disclose them slowly as I don't wish to move the market until I am fully set ).

The ideal situation for me would be, and I'm not wishing them any great harm, for some further players to catch Covid.

Ole Biden getting a dose would be interesting and chaotic for the political process. It would save the world from more useless wars.

"Shirley" Pence ( He is such a colourless godbothering mother I cannot remember his first name without some thought ) would be an ideal candidate for this particular wog. He would survive but be even more thick in the head as a result.

So we now have Trump, Biden and Shirley out of the race. Who is left but Kamahl.

Japan bank changes -

ASX drops on Bank of Japan’s policy shift

Australia's share market drops deep into the red amid thin year-end liquidity as the Bank of Japan unexpectedly tweaks its unconventional monetary policy.

The S&P/ASX 200 falls 1.5 per cent to a more than five-week low of 7026.3 – dropping 60 points in under 20 minutes – the rebounds to be down 1.2 per cent at 7047.

It comes as the BoJ "decides to modify the conduction of yield curve control in order to improve market functioning and encouraging a smoother formation of the entire yield curve, while maintaining accomodative financial conditions."
While continuing to target a 10-year JGB rate of zero, the BoJ expands the allowable range of 10-year JGB fluctuations from between around plus and minus 25bp to around plus and minus 50bp, effectively validating some of the upward pressure on yields.

Yes, I might get a chicken dinner at this rate.

Did the market drop at the same time Krudd was announced ambassador?
Can one be kind about Rudd?
Upset I was about his treatment of Gillard.
Narcissistic to outdo Narcissus.
Too much spleen in his history.

Yeh, I’d blame Rudd for the fall.
