Agree about the media but it would also be good if Trump went on tv or social media and explicitly told his supporters to cool it and not kill anyone. The other side should do the same. A joint Press Conference of reconciliation would set an example.

Trump has no need to do so.
I am not aware of any of his supporters trying to kill anyone.
He is also probably thinking of how his comments were taken completely out of context immediately after the jan 6 insurrection.
But then again, he loves the sound of his own voice, so perhaps it is surprising he has made no comments.
