Trump has always been a political moderate and is still a political moderate. There is not much difference in terms of policy between Trump, Clinton and Obama (the most left of the 3). Example 1, Trump fixed the Clinton crime bill with the First Step Act. Second example, Trump and Obama (the guy who put the kids in cages) are the deportation supremos. Middle America voted for Trump in 2024, job done. CNN can't do polls anymore because Trump has so much support.

It amazes me how everyone forgets Trump and all his Democrat friends hanging out for decades.

For years I kept hearing about how politicians should be more transparent; now you get the most transparent world leader in all of history and everyone spends their time complaining because he so transparent. He spends hours talking and explaining in his stupid way of speaking. He does his whole bragging straight shooter American thing and Aussies are whining like little babies.

Washington hates Trump because they can't control him. He is the antidote to the swamp, this is what middle America wants. Wait I get it now, the Aussie opinion is that the majority of Americans are idiots compared to the brilliance of voting for Albanese (twice).

Yes, I don't like Trump but the other option is President 'forever' Xi Jinping. I know which side I am on.

Scott Adams is right most people have their opinions assigned to them. Just blindly following the MSM narratives.

I think Trump only got in because Kamala was too woke for middle America.

The Dems should have learned from that and I think they will move to the Right.
 
A disillusioned woking class isn't confined to the U.S, it is happening the Western World over, workers aren't stupid they don't need to be Einstein to realise that their money doesn't go as far, the house they are working and saving for, is moving further out of reach.
Meanwhile their rent is going up and their savings are going down.

Their jobs and employment opportunities are disappearing and immigration is increasing, meanwhile they feel their tax is paying for it.

It doesn't take a genius to realise the only ones who will be cheering that platform on, will be the rich, who get cheaper workers, more demand and tenants.

Trump tapped into that, if he can't deliver he will be thrown out, meanwhile those who don't want him to deliver are throwing all they can to stop him.

Time will tell.
 
Apparently Donald Trump was not aware of the assassination of Melissa Hortaman Democratic Speaker in the Minnesota House of Reps.

Melissa and her husband were killed less than 3 months ago. Trump was "not aware" of this double murder of Democratic politicians n June 16th 2025?

Two possibilities here of course

1) Trump is seriously, seriously cognitively impaired. He doesn't remember such an outrageous action that created huge turmoil only 3 months ago OR

2) Trump is seriously, criminally cognitively impaired because he lies through his teeth every time he opens his mouth and in this instance (the killing of Charle Kirk) has refused to recognise the number of Democrat politicians who have been attacked.

Trumps 1st order of business is to enrich himself and his family yes they all do it.
2nd is to supply his ego surrounding himself with sycophants in his own image.
3rd say anything that gets votes especially from the Christians (so called) especially those that believe in Armageddon (seriously).
None of Trumps policies have transferred wealth back to the middle/ lower economic classes none, zilch. Nada sFA.

So Trump did know about the horrific home assassination of the Democratic reps in Minnesota - and expressed serious anger at the political violence.

So back to now. 3 months later he says he "wasn't aware " of the assassination. Either he is so xucking impaired he legitimately can't recall the killing and has no place in the White House OR

He well remembers the killings but for his purposes he pretends they never happened and then starts a Jihad against anyone he deems to be a political threat . He still has no place as a President

I support Abortion in cases where it is medically necessary, or where the pregnancy is the result of sexual assault and where the pregnancy is early enough I think a woman has the right to choose if she wants to take the risk carrying on the pregnancy or not.

It wasn't political violence. It was a murder committed because of a personal grievance. See post 1284 for Vance Boelter's appointment to the government workforce group by Tim Waltz. The guy spiralled into madness and killed people he knew.

Sum of his beliefs is that its a human from conception. You are either for the killing of babies or not.
So while his opinion may offend you, yours also offends many. I had a mate who had a similar opinion on rape and carrying and looking after the child as it wasn't the child's fault. I couldn't get my head around it, but came to accept difference in opinion. He wasn't religious either. Better man than I.

You don't actually have the "gist" as you fed people a false narrative of what he believed through TikTok airheads that have no concept of context. I doubt you could find anything but edited short grabs.

Thats what I have a problem with-misinformation.
