I have an etrade account but want to buy some NYSE shares, I know about etrade global shares but its $59 per trade which seems steep. What is the best way forward for me?

Every trade cost USD 15.

Apparently, optionsXpress have been around for quite some time too. Their website is definitely a good place to find out details of their current offerings.

If you're new to this game, I also suggest you search this Forum for "optionsXpress" and browse the threads that pop up: https://www.aussiestockforums.com/forums/search.php?searchid=1697918
That way, you'll complement marketing speak by a range of experience-based opinions from ASF members.

Just wanted to clarify one thing, all in good spirit, I use their (optionsXpress) services myself.
