Arm raising sets easy to do when otherwise inactive

 
Got to be off. Doctors appointment at 3pm for heart and pacemaker check-up.
Still got a tiny bit of heart fluttering but hoping that this will sort itself out soon.
 
I have had a minor setback recently and had to have another dose of electric current to rectify the recalcient heart flutter.
It would appear that all is back to normal at present and I now have another check-up at the end of the month.
Hopefully this will be the last of these and then i can get back to work.
It's been a long 7 months
 
Had a couple of downer days as things body wise are not quite working out as it should.
Calling it quits for the day.
 
Most of us are only focused on 'end gaining' while ignoring the 'means whereby'. Translated to practice it means that when doing a chore or going for a walk one takes more of an interest in the physical act itself than the goal of getting a job done. I think I got that idea from my brushes with Alexander Technique, Yoga, and swimming and walking.
 
When one feels good when doing something physical then that is when the boundaries are pushed and stretched, as in my case.
Relatively fit again but not taking into consideration what was done internally.
This is not something that gets to 100% in a few weeks.
Been given the ok to go slowly, slowly not bull at a gate.
 
This is the difficult thing for us involved with rural pursuits. The work is always there waiting for us and keeps mounting up, all the while staring us in the face as it does so.

Sadly after 2 storms and a fire earlier this year that caused some damage to fencing is still waiting to be repaired.
We have managed to keep on top the burning off, with the last of the heaps set alight last night.
 
I bought some rice. Nice and healthy?

But then it's chocolate flavoured so perhaps not.....

Rice converts quickly to sugar. This effect gets blunted somewhat by combining with fat, protein and fibre so I'm told. Probably better than commercial bread though

The cat was excited at first, since it comes in a can the same size as some cat food.

Upon seeing the contents, the cat now thinks I'm crazy.

Tasted fine, don't think it's too healthy though.
 
I visited my GP last week after getting out of hospital and needing more pain relief medications.
My GP's first comment was " how are you still alive?" after seeing my quintuple bypass surgery was necessary after 90% blockage in 2 arteries and 75% in the others was observed.

Having no comorbidities, eating well (mostly), drinking only socially and being relatively fit for my age was the only explanation.
My message to men over 60 in particular is to have regular health checkups that look closely at possible hardening of the arteries.
I was a classic case of "looks can be deceptive".

We cannot see the health of our internal organs without the right tests being done to provide medicos with some clues. Despite literally having every possible test for heart function carried out, it was only when my surgeon did the angiogram that the bad news came.

May I ask how old you are? (Will understand if you don't want to answer).

Yep. Many discover they have an abdominal aortic aneurysm when that is the last thing they will ever discover.

One acquaintance found out when he was in hospital due to kidney stones and the CT scan revealed the aneurysm. Another when the follow up ultrasound after surgery for prostate issues showed indications of an aneurysm.

Many years ago a friend was washing his car and died when the brain aneurysm he had burst.

There isn't any fairness with life. It just is.
