I think it's about time some Aussie brokers offered an automated trading platform. \While I use discretionary processes now, there's too much stress involved and I want less screen time.
I use bell direct and etrade, and I'm regularly pestering them to develop automation capabilities for us retail traders. Bell at least acts interested. Etrade couldn't care less. Bell told me they'd have an API for automation ready by the end of this year. Now they're saying there's no ****ing plans for it.
If I'm the only one asking, it won't happen. If you have a decent auto system ready to go and all you need is the platform, perhaps email your broker and pester them like I do. Bell tells me if enough people ask, it will accelerate the process.
ps. I'm not interested in sending money offshore and battling with IB. One look at the troubleshooting thread cured me of that notion.
