Just don't like the time frame, 4+ months and part of the offer is reliant on gold price, saying that though it could increase greatly as much as it can fall.

Also I have only been in since February so I am doing OK.

i have been a holder since August 2021 , so am doing nicely here

BUT i didn't buy this for a quick capital gain

i win in the pocket book , but wear a dent in the portfolio balance

( finding a solid replacement isn't as easy as it looks )

@divs4ever this was also meant to be a long term for myself as well, record gold price, no hedge book little to no debt was my thesis

I have positions in another couple but much more speculative than what GOR ever was

I note that the foreign investment policy doco was updated 14 Mar 2025 but, would I be wrong to suppose that the FIRB will simply rubber stamp this takeover?

i suspect FIRB will wave this through , as it has with several other take-overs in important sectors recently

BUT i won't be heart-broken if FIRB pours cold water on this
