Factually that seems to be true to my understanding. So no argument there.
Pragmatic reality however is that being seen walking into the bush on a 45 degree day carrying a jerry can full of petrol in one hand and a box of matches in the other is going to arouse an awful lot of suspicion and even more so when someone notices the fire an hour later.
That scenario is essentially what's happened here. They may well be completely innocent but they're standing there with the box of matches and the fire raging behind them so it sure isn't a good look regardless of the facts.

I find it hard to reconcile, the media put Morison on the cross for being on holidays, when the bushfires were happening and it was a State issue.

All it takes is 1 sick person with a mediocre mask in that crowd and he will infect his neighbour. Not everyone wore masks anyway.
So a few out-breaths or a sneeze dispersing droplets up to 8m is enough to start a "bush fire" as you describe. Or just a few wondering hands or fingers. That's why distancing is so important.
And wearing a mask wouldn't protect the eyes, ears or other orifices of an innocent bystander. That would be like wearing a raincoat while swimming in the ocean and expecting not to get wet!

Well I don't know about protests, but last Thursday while entertaining 5 grandkids I took them to scitec, an absolute idiot on the next table was sneezing.
Well to cut a long story short, Monday I was in a queue at Fiona Stanley hospital getting a covid check, which proved negative, but today the grandson is in bed with the flu also.
You can't help fluckwits.
But they are entitled to be there.
Yep well times that by a factor of 100 fcukwits (or people who have no idea) in a massive crowd.

You make your comments without evidence.
Mask wearing in Tokyo's crowded subway system - over 8 million passenger journeys per day - has proven extremely effective. BLM protests pale into insignificance when compared to what has been happening day in, day out, for months in Chinese (over 10 million trips per day in Beijing alone) and Japanese subways.
However, as @IFocus's post above points out, the thread is fake news and serves only to amplify the poor journalism which gets syndicated to brainwash the braindead.
I don't need evidence. As someone pointed out to you, it's basic common sense; a mask isn't a guarantee. All your arguments are circular because of your incessant and unhelpful "evidence" comments.
A mediocre mask or a contaminated one would just make the situation worse anyway i.e. of potentially making infection more rampant. A mask won't protect eyes or ears either and won't stop a wandering touch contaminating surfaces or others.
Fake news or not, the protest crowds especially given the timing were illustrative enough of their detrimental nature.

The BLM protester known to test positive wore a mask. No further infections are traceable to him.
If you wear a mask it is nearly impossible to spread droplets or produce an aerosol effect.
If your argument has legs then the AFL crowd last night at Optus stadium falls into the same camp as the BLM protests, except that we know a large number at BLM protests did wear masks.

Back at you: external links showing your personal opinions lack merit have nothing to do with what I think.
The timing of them taking place. There were no crowds permitted at sporting events back during the initial lockdown. The protestign BLM crowds didn't have the same protocols in place as those for the sporting events.
They wouldn't be justified in Victoria at this time. That's why teams and their families are migrating to Queensland. Maybe we will revert back to another lockdown or a level-4 one, mask-wearing and all.
