You missed the point.

I was talking about Christian treatment of people. Legal or not I doubt if the Trump administration's treatment of migrants lives up to the Christian teachings. So Trump, Kirk et al should not pretend to be Christians when they blatantly break the rules they pretend to covet.

Having said that, a country has a legal right to throw illegal people out, it's just not a Christian behaviour.

Christianity does not preclude self defence or just war (ref Aquinas and Augustine) or self defence;

Luke 22:36-38 (Jesus and the Sword):
“He said to them, ‘But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. … The disciples said, ‘See, Lord, here are two swords.’ ‘That’s enough!’ he replied.”

Then there is the inconvenient story of Jesus bashing the money changers in the temple.

Peaceful means is always the first order, but self defence is not condemned.

Looking at it from a pragmatic point of view that's fine. I was speaking from a religious context (I'm not religious but I know a bit about the Bible), and people who claim to be Christians and then treat other people like cr@p are frauds. If they want to treat other people like cr@p ok, but don't pretend to be Christian at the same time, it just doesn't go with the teachings.

on a similar case, was in sri lanka in March: the Buddhist kingdom there has been perpetually 1000y plus fighting tamils and indian Hindu invaders, the later in the recent civil wars.
yet Buddhists would not even kill a mosquito
but as the guide explained, when the survival of your belief or the words of your god is in the balance, you are entitled to fight back.

i believe you only highlights these as you are a non believer..as i am..and do not respect or value the Christian religion.

obviously persecuted but not like current (and last millennium) Islam assault
