Well known people who died recently

Ch 9 gave them a good amount of air time tonight.
I think I will drag out some of the CD's tucked away with their songs for a bit of nostalgia for the next wet day day.
Only old people drag out CD's these days.
Get with the program farmer, most people use spotify or one of the myriad of other streaming services these days.

@mullokintyre wouldn't have a clue about all that stuff.
When I do get back to work the CD's work admirably well in the tractors' radio/CD player.

Another who has just recently departed from Planet Earth is Julian McMahon.
Son of Sir and Lady McMahon, one time PM of Australia.
Made a name for himself as a TV and film actor.

Charlie Kirk pioneered a debating format that changed younger people

Freedom of speech isn’t always tasteful.

Left-wing French magazine Charlie Hebdo’s satire of Muslims was cited as the motivating factor for the murder of 12 of the magazine’s employees.

It led to the phrase “I’m with Charlie”.

You can bet there are plenty of conservatives who are “with Charlie” Kirk.

I hadn't paid much attention to Mr Kirk, but from what I have learnt in the last few days, to me he seemed to be a conservative, an aspiring politician who engaged in debate and held to the Christian faith.
How inconvenient for those tagging him with Right Wing.

What? You think only Left Wingers are Christians? :roflmao: (Replying to post that no longer exists).

good to see i am not alone

I think that there are many more, and it is growing.

I find it very hard to smile and share good stories with you today because of the tragic news of the death of someone we admired, Charlie Kirk.

Charlie's senseless killing yesterday hit us both very hard. And I've got to be honest, I don't think either one of us wanted to do the show today. But Jesse said to me last night, "I don't know what else to say, but I'll be there in the morning, and maybe all we do tomorrow is talk about it." So, we owe it to Charlie to talk about it. To me, Charlie was an inspiration, a fearless person, not afraid to get up in front of a campus full of college students and debate ideas, always with respect and with the goal of finding the truth.

While we didn't always agree with Charlie, we very much respected him. Bringing civil discourse and reason debate to campuses throughout America and the world is a noble endeavor and one that all citizens should respect. Millions of college students flock to his appearances and thousands of people have engaged with Charlie in spirited debates and discussions.

Today, Charlie is gone because someone wanted to silence him. But Charlie's spirit lives on in millions of people and it lives on here on this show. We've done our best to continue to bring you the news about what's going on in the world of Elon and Tesla and SpaceX and Neuralink because we think it's so important and because the rest of the media is either silent, inaccurate, or misleading about these topics. It may
