US 30-year Treasury yield climbed as high as 5.161% — its highest since 2023 — before easing. The 10-year yield also flirted with multi-year highs before retreating. At end, 10-year yield: US 4.53% Australia 4.45%

Bitcoin up 2.6% to $US$110,924
Brent crude is 1.29% lower at US$64.07 a barrel.
WTI crude is 0.6% lower at US$61.20 a barrel.
Spot gold is 0.01% lower at US$3294.30 an oz.
Gold futures (COMEX) are 0.55% lower at US$3323.60 an oz.
One Australian dollar is buying 64.10 US cents.

SPI futures are pointing to a 5 point rise

US 10-year bond yields settled higher at 4.48 per cent as a weak bond auction in Japan extended a volatile stretch for longer-dated Japanese debt, which has rippled through global bond markets.

On the back of OPEC+ leaving its formal output quotas unchanged, the global benchmark Brent crude is near $US64 per barrel and the US WTI at $US62 per barrel.

Spot gold is 0.16% lower at US$3295.56 an ounce, gold futures are lower near $US3312 per ounce.

Iron ore futures on the Singapore exchange closed near $US95 per tonne.

Bitcoin is just above $US107,300.

The Aussie dollar is trading around US64.27c.
