So before the US session tonight:
The dog of the ASX2024 lost another 2.5% this week: and pls soon half its opening value, half of the stocks have lost 30% or more since January...

The RRG system behaved badly this week down 1.1% vs a 0.9% rise of the XJT

The entry in LTR has been a disaster down 26% in 2 weeks, hitting the portfolio with a 2% loss and is enough to create the under performance.
on Monday 2 exits and 2 entries in the RRG system

The whole of the super fared a bit better and reached another ATH but this week was overtaken by the XJT


Overall the fall in gold, and so so crypto affected the whole portfolio which unless strong change tonight retreated on the week.
Will know more tomorrow,
 
No surprise today after the US session:
Total investments down 0.35% and beaten this week by the XJT

As explained previously, this is after drawing substantial money along for (frugal) OS trips, day to day living, patio and machinery shed/yards etc so still pretty satisfied..but on the last week we lost our ATH position.
Gold and the cryptos to blame

another ATH so a great week:

The RRG system not really doing well this week up 0.5% vs 1% rise of the XJT
Not impressed at all

The whole of super went well and reached another ATH up 1.6% overtaking the XJT with 9% cash only

And the total investment up .66% after some rural fencing purchases extracted from the money box so all good
 
before the US session tonight:
A great week on the asx:
The dog of the ASX 2024 went up 0.4% on the week, reducing the overall loses to -23.8% since January..what a disaster that idea is ;the ASX is NOWHERE NEAR -24% since.


The super reaching another ATH up 1.1% on the week and beating the XJT since February

yet the RRG system is not doing much losing a few dollars and still underwater

We have to wait the US session and with war on, changes can be abrupt but we should see another big jump up of the overall portfolio

Well, what a glorious week: best since proper records began ..well last 6 months
Sadly based on WAR:
Gold, silver and this week oil as i moved into oil following the "smart money" early this week.
Anyway, doing what we can in the world we have

Hopefully some peace, and even better, common sense will come..

that war was always coming

keen listeners would have been well aware that several powerful nations had no way out of their debt obligations except for a very large war for well over a decade ,

sure they threw in some dog and pony shows to distract and truckloads of BS to build false confidence to boost inflation ( some the value of that debt eroded )

but it was all too much , and basic math was proved correct again

not much chance of peace when the serial aggressors keep on bullying and breaking treaties
 
before the us session tonight:
First the dogs of ASX2024 went down a further 1.65% at -25.45% since january 25
PDN went up nicely this week but the others were quite lame:

the super:
RRG system down again 1.3%

and the super overall went actually up again with another ATH:
I am surprised but yes, these are the figures and happy with that:

But the overall investment is down unless major changes tonight.
 
Good day, not a great week there losing from obviously PM and oil exposure
First, the dog of the ASX which were up nearly 3%..Some days...


the super:
RRG system down again -3.4%

and the whole of super even went backward for the first time since early april

The whole of investment took a small beating mostly as a result of PM fall, and some losses yesterday on the US market
but this includes living expense and we paid a big credit card for some fencing material with some money expecting back this week.
It will be interesting to get a real idee of actual return , before living expenses
I will try to do that from 29/07/24 to EOFY 24-25 on monday night
 
RRG sold 6 packets out of 10 today:
A2M,BVS,MGR,NVA,SBM and TCL; and bought 6 packets: CKF,CSC,JLG,GGUS,SLX,VEA
There was a glitch in my sequenced orders for SLX which was not fully implemented, will try to add more tomorrow

Nice!...i like CKF Colonel sanders KFC on the improve & JLG.....Bought JLG in the low 2s so already doing very well!

So far this system trading, "qant" trading using a big inflated work, has not been great but hey, well within expected DD.
I do not like too much such drastic changes of portfolios but this is what the system asks
 
And with the EOFY, time for a checkup:
Rough figures net of brokerages and expected taxes, our whole of investments increased by 9.68% since the very end of July 2024 when we actually restarted investing with the sale of the farm; or an annualised return of 10.6%,
The XJT for comparison went up 6.59% on the same period or an annualised 7.2%
Very happy with the results this year especially as we are nearly CORRECTED 40% cash
 
First week of the new FY;
weird jumps in that short NY week:
had the worst ,with all red in an ASX up day, then yesterday was truly stunning, the big and diversified super portfolio up more than 1% while the asx was kind of flat , giving back a bit today;
I realise I can close the week tonight as NYSE is closed tonight

1) The Dogs of ASX2024:
Did a great fight back, all regaining some of their long lost value: up nearly 4.35% on the week...still -18.1% since january but heading north again

2)System trading
RRG: up 0.9% after a serious packet swap on Monday so all good

3) The whole of super reached another ATH up 1% on the week so very good week keeping gold and oil and adding copper lately on top of usual investments
 
Not much noise on the forum today, i guess disappointed with RBA..a less than stellar day on the asx.
After thinking this weekend i sold part of some parcels in the super, redirected some and even tried to get into btc and USD actually.
Not s bad move at least today but dome buy were a bit short and failed
