May 2025 Stock Competition Entries!

i do note that the leader board is very generous with my current price

all very flattering , but since i am more likely to be fighting for cellar duties ...

my guesstimate should have me closer to @Sean K

cheers
@divs4ever Surely not trying for the cellar divs.
The caustic remarks that the cellar dweller receives is not for you I would think!!!!

if i get my target price for YAL: i will happily dwell in the cellar all year

and names , i have been called much worse ( and more often ) as long as i am making money it is all good ( cellar or at the top of the list )

@divs4ever Cellar Dweller for the rest of the year divs??
Just think of all that extremely poor quality clean skin red, salvaged papers to read from the local rubbish tip, exceeding poor seating and a host of other unpleasantry things that may invade a stay there!!!!!!

sounds just like my side-hustle when sub-contracting for NWS , but in the cellar i can choose my own meal breaks

i remember one Xmas eve out working ( in the hot sun ) i was first attacked by a snake in a bush ( i smacked it over the head with a folded paper ) later a cat also hiding in a bush near the mail box , a couple of minor scratches from that and later again bushed a different shrub upsetting a wasp's nest resulting in several stings to the upper shoulders back and neck ... but the stings took out the pain from the sunburn i had acquired during the day ... just another Xmas chaos

as long as i am in good profit from buying the selected stocks cheap i will endure ( and use the cheap rot-gut as disinfectant and pain-killer )

BTW i missed out buying my targeted FBR last month ( too far down the queue )

@divs4ever love it always someone who's done it tough and it appears that you have.

but i had a LOT of luck on the way , it wasn't always hard yakka , often a big challenge and a crude short-cut to get it done quick .. which translates nicely into the stock-market ( always look for a silver-lining )

up to 17 i was tiny ( but too skinny for a dwarf ) by 21 , many still gave me child discounts automatically ( and then a grew a mustache )

but all that just became experience ( which is often a good thing )

It is with the utmost interest that I have noticed that the Good Cap't is at present sitting on top of the totem pole in the current May Competition.
I am now wondering if he is going to remove the current block he has against all of us this year so we may be able to offer words of wisdom to him on his lofty position at present.

my YAL went down lower , BUT now i have a toehold in the stock

so the portfolio is fatter at the expense of my prestige

LOL

You posted in the OZM thread with your reasons but didn't post OZM in the competition entry thread. Had you not posted in the OZM thread before the deadline I wouldn't have allowed the entry, but your doing so clearly conveyed your intention to enter the competition in May.

I will allow the entry and will add it tomorrow.
Thanks Joe

engagement level in the MAY comp thread is at a low from me .... and my pick is ho-hum

I have divs and farmer on ignore (life's too short for the banal), Ig pope has me on ignore as does the C Weed. and he's on the #1 spot for now ( & expecting the braggadocio any time )

I've had C Weed on ignore for many years now as well so could someone keep me via the thread up to speed with how he's going.

He doesn't enter the comp much as far as I know and it would be great to see him have a win for once.

I'm happy with my placing in the aristocrat end, not exactly a Prince William but not a Prince Andrew neither.

Perhaps @Richard Dale can clarify this as it relates to NWM?

NWM had non-renounceable rights issue (1:1 $0.01, when the stock was trading at $0.014). Since the rights issue had some intrinsic value, the ASX calculated a dilution factor of 0.8571 against all prices prior to 2025-05-02. i.e. this is done on the basis that you would actually participate in such raising in order to "average down" your original purchase.
