Arrgh! This April Fool overlooked the midweek cutoff for the May comp. I've been very busy lately and apologise for my failure to enter another brilliant monthly selection.

Too many portfolios to manage, too many trading activities. Started studying a new market paradigm that has totally different terms to what I'm used to. There's not enough time in the day.

Good luck to to all.

I find myself well in among the unwashed which with a new Pope being elected gives me the requisite humility. Some quite interesting stocks.

From finishing 2nd in April to now last in May LOL
"last at the start to first at the finish"
Hey, it's such a random exercise. Pure luck.. one day either side and it's a different outcome.

In April, my tip LMS came an ignominious last, but today, May Day, it was up 21.5% .... nothing out of the ordinary, but more respectable than earlier on.

I'm interested to know why Captain Chazza entry price has been changed from $0.014 to $0.0119994
Westpac and CommSec agree it was $0.014?
Charts only show ASX data which I thought was what is used.
Can't see Chi-X data at the minute.
Not a bad jump out of the gates if bona fide!

It must be related to the "total return methodology" by which the results are calculated. The competition data is very kindly provided by Norgate Data and any changes to entry prices are made automatically, not manually.

This was added to the competition leaderboard page when we switched from Yahoo to Norgate data:

Results are calculated using a total return methodology that incorporates corporate actions such as stock splits, consolidations, bonus issues, rights issues, in-specie distributions/spinoffs, dilutions, distributions and dividends.

Perhaps @Richard Dale can clarify this as it relates to NWM?

Investing.com chart (trading view)
shows it. Big red bar going lower than $0.012

I'm guessing it's a Chi-X trading point, which makes it interesting.
I'm not aware of charting that show chi-x data specifically.
Anyone know of a source?

I knew this Donkey had more in it...
It started to grow wings today gone from last to 2nd last

"last at the start to first at the finish"
"Slow and steady wins the race"

Or maybe I did not hit enter. Always next month

You posted in the OZM thread with your reasons but didn't post OZM in the competition entry thread. Had you not posted in the OZM thread before the deadline I wouldn't have allowed the entry, but your doing so clearly conveyed your intention to enter the competition in May.

I will allow the entry and will add it tomorrow.

i do note that the leader board is very generous with my current price

all very flattering , but since i am more likely to be fighting for cellar duties ...

my guesstimate should have me closer to @Sean K

cheers
