The S&P200 index (code XJO) does not take dividends into account.

The S&P200 accumulation index (code XJOAI) does take dividends into account.

I am unsure about the methodology except for a general statement that "The XJOAI takes reinvestment of dividends into account". So you might need to research that for yourself if you need more detailed answer.

The index itself will drop if say a bank pays out a div.

Futures and CFDs won't budge since its priced in.

The ASX S&P 200 Accumulation index takes account of all dividends and treats them as being reinvested
