Bell Direct Quotes NOT Real-Time!?

Hi guys, today is my first day trading @ Bell Direct.

It says I'm silver and that quotes are delayed by 20 minutes. Does this mean that I'm actually TRADING with prices that are not real-time???

I'm comparing between my BD and commsec account, the quotes aren't the same.

It's quite nerve-wracking to know that we have to pay $10.00 extra a month to get real-time.

Am I missing something here?

If says your prices are 20 mins delayed, the price you see in your watchlist will be 20 mins old. Obviously if you go to buy/sell the price will be the current live price.

If you dont want to pay $10, just use your commsec account/watchlist for live prices.
 
I think the Bell $10 for Gold service "live prices" is a bargin when you save $10-$15 a trade over commsec.

One trade thru Bell and it's paid for. Not that expensive really, is it?
 
I too have accounts in Commsec and BD, no problem trading in BD with Commsec quotes, saving me 2 lunch meals per month is worth the effort
 
I have read nothing about bell giving you free iress if you place 15 trades a month. As far as I know you still have to pay the 80bucks?
 
SuperMatt, It is something that Bell have kept under their hat and will be used in the future in a marketing campaign. All you need to do is call the 1300number and mention that you heard about the free Iress for 15 trades and they'll set you up.

I wanted to sell some ooo and this was missed as ooo fell.
it it was not worth anymore when the site was up again
$300 in dust..i hope oil will rise against so that i can sell tomorrow....
But that's not the way i want to trade shares with "hope".
I will put the sell order tonight

I'm sorry to read of your plight, qldfrog.

You can ring them now and let them know that you are disappointed that the site broke down and that denied you a chance of selling out. Give them a price you had intended to sell and ask if they can compensate you for your loss. Be nice, be kind and understanding. (threats and intimidation will make it harder for them wanting to help you) I was in customer relations at one stage in my life (threats, demands and rudeness didn't go well with me, so cut that out) Good luck, frog, I hope you get a resolution, xx
 
was not even considering claiming that..maybe I should..I cross finger and may get a better price tomorrow..who knows.
My mistake was not entering the order before open, i thought ill see how high it goes....well...
In the scale of things I am mostly happy with BD
 
I forgot to say, if you ring them, follow up and write an email so there is an email trail..........but don't stress about it, if it's good news, good. If not, put it behind you and move forward. (Better use of energy elsewhere) I'm logging out, have a great evening, and take care
