Finally took the plunge and invested in a copy of Amibroker and a subscription to Norgates Premium Data :)

I Apologise in advance if my terminology is incorrect.

When BackTesting the default is "Apply to *All symbols" I have noticed that indexs like the ASX100, ASX200 etc all appear as symbols. Does that mean the Default is actually trading on indexes as well regular stocks and as a result trashing my results?

Whats the best way to ensure my backtesting is run against all stocks listed on the ASX only?

    thanks

Use the little green symbol next to the "all symbols" to filter what you want.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions Boggo. :xyxthumbs

All sorted now, I downloaded a full list of stocks from the ASX website tweaked the format and created my own watchlist.

Now my results true suck lol.

Let me guess the rest of the AFL is only $999 lol

C<500 excludes indices by price. The rest is your code.

Or also just tick the "Indexes" checkbox on the "Exclude" page......
