Hi piggybank,
Is this an appropriate thread to ask about the P&F charts?

What is the attraction?
I am guessing they take noise out, leaving a clearer picture of trend.

Hi,

Thanks to those you have kindly contributed to the thread, making it a very interesting read so far.

I just came across this stock Medtech Global Ltd (ASX:MDG) having just done a scan of the XAO. It opened yesterday (yes I should be in bed now as I'm off in 4 hours time to pick up the wife and Mother-In-Law - in other words MIL) at 7 cents and went as high as 26c before closing at 16c on volume of 800,000. This meant it jumped 220% on the day assuming it was as a result of the announcement to the market...

Given that I hardly have any experience in reading these reports, what stuck out at me was a lot of the numbers were in brackets which usually means - negative. If that is the case, then I can only assume that a lot of investors thought it wasn't as bad as expected!! Or am I completely off track? Really the total value, even at the high of 26c is only $208,000 maximun which is only loose change compared to most companies.
