ABC is Political

I agree that those social policies are infiltrating society to a disturbing degree, but I can't really see Marxist economic policy coming along with it. Both sides of politics want to cut taxes rather than raising them and Labor these days (and in the past with Hawke and Keating) were keen to sell off government assets and to deregulate markets.

Some of us may think they went too far.
Actually I retract my statement regarding the march towards economic Marxism. I do not believe this is to goal. Rather it is economic Fascism, and we do see the intertwining of the above social issues with multinational companies. For example the insisting upon an ESG score, facilitated by the giant fund managers such as Vanguard and Blackrock.

Okay, my opinion:

Economically, in general, don't see extreme left practice in Australia. Though the ideology does exist in the Greens. Thankfully, they don't have the cards on the table.

In social policy we... and the West in general... Have gone a long way down that road:

Postmodernism
Critical theory
Critical race theory
Gender ideology
DEI
Economic equity
Open borders/ cultural relativism
Replacement theory
Anti white propaganda
etc etc etc

In the establishment of the above, there is a strong movement to implement Marxist economic theory, via this back door.
the ALP just act out the greens policies

Looks like the ABC is going to have a dedicated anti Trump dept, it should give some plenty of snippets to post. 🤣

Laura Tingle finishes this week as 7.30's political editor. She starts as the ABC's global affairs editor in coming weeks.

4 Corners has loaded up the Gatling Gun and blasted one of Melbourne top Neurosurgeons.
Powerful story. And it goes far beyond the introduction I Posted.

Greg Malham was a renowned neurosurgeon at Melbourne's largest private hospital, Epworth.

It started out as one of those odd stories you sometimes see in the rough and tumble of a federal election campaign — a viral video of a man tearing down a female politician's campaign corflute, talking about burying the body under concrete.

The vision of a surgeon smashing Kooyong independent Monique Ryan's election sign into a rubbish skip and saying "always gotta bury the body" went viral in a week when multiple women were allegedly murdered by men.

But for many of the former colleagues and others who spoke to Four Corners for our investigation into this man, the video was telling — not just about his attitudes about women, but also the position he occupied as a surgeon at the apex of the private hospital world.

A surgeon who left behind uncomfortable nurses, crying radiographers, patients who thought him like an egotistical character out of Mad Men, and a devastated, grieving family.

Greg Malham was a renowned neurosurgeon at Epworth ― Melbourne's largest private hospital.

When the corflute story broke in Melbourne's The Age newspaper, Epworth's CEO, Andrew Stripp, issued an unusually robust statement to staff, saying the hospital was "deeply concerned by the unacceptable behaviour displayed by the surgeon" and he personally found the content of the video "abhorrent".

Within weeks, Mr Malham resigned from the hospital.

ABC journalist John Lyons had a go at Trump over his business dealings and got a sharp rebuke.

Was Trump's affairs any business of our ABC? Surely the US media should deal with those things?

They're doing a 4 corners doco on Trumps' dealings, so it would be anyone's interests. It's not exactly a taboo subject.
The only one "hurting Australia" is Trump and his bullship tariffs.

That's what I thought, it seemed a bit inappropriate IMO from an Aust journo, a bit like asking Joe who was driving the big chair, when he was having memory issues.

It really is a U.S issue and it looks like the ABC is going to make Albo's meeting start on an awkward footing.

Maybe the ABC could ask Albo the same question, I'm sure Albo would tell them to mind their own business. Lol

Will be interesting to see if the Four Corners episode on Trump gets canned.

I can't think of a better use of my tax dollars. It's good to see us American taxpayers are getting benefit from our American funded American public broadcaster to hold our American politicians to account.

It was a dumb thing to do you can’t question that directly to a self proclaimed dictator well at least in his imagination.

It will be interesting to see how Albo back fills the hole.

Just imagine if a U.S right wing journo, media bombed an Albo meet the press in Canberra and started asking Albo about how he could afford the house he bought, when he wasn't on mega bucks.

The loonies would start screaming, as they should.

WTF has Albo's house buy, have to do with a right wing toe rag from the U.S?
Yet the loonies chant on.

Well it comes down to the fact that like him or not, Trump is what he is, and if a taxpayer funded journo is hurting Australia's interests, then the said journo and his organisation should be told to pull their heads in.

Absolutely, the problem is, the left wing journo's have been given so much free reign, that they now feel there are no boundries.
The problem with that is, it disenfranchises those that have different opinions and they get frustrated that they can't be heard.
That then leads to a venting of public frustration on the streets, fortunately we haven't arrived at that point yet and hopefully it doesn't eventuate.

I wouldn't mind someone in the media asking that reporter, how much his house value has gone up in the last 3 years and what he has done to justify that. Lol

Journos must stop being journos because they're taxpayer funded. That's a new one :)

Questions may well need to be asked about Trump and his business activities, it's just that it should be the US media asking them not ours.

Where is the Watergate spirit?

Too bad Robert Redford just snuffed it, he may have done something. ;)

Absolutely, the U.S cess pit politics is their issue, ours, is ours.
Let's be honest many of our politicians, seem to do extremely well, once they have entered politics.
Meanwhile we have our Journo's asking the President of the U.S, who just happens to be the target of a left wing pile on, if he is being corrupt. Lol
Maybe they could head over next week and do the same to Putin, Macron and Starmer. Lol let's see if they do that, I personally doubt it..

I'll be surprised if Trump doesn't send Albo's ar$e back home in a sling. Lol.

Who knows, maybe that's what the reporter wants, it was a crazy ploy on his part IMO.
Let's be honest the reporter got an audience with Trump before Albo did and he used it to attack his business dealings, what he did 't think CBS, the NYT, the Washington Post, etc weren't up to it. Lol
