I was surveying my gardens with thoughts of where the market would end up at years end when my eyes locked onto the number plate of my car.
Not sure if it’s a bad or good omen for bulls well at least the market will be up.

At least you didn't drill down and enter the VIN. That would be beyond bullish.
Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is your car's 17 character unique identifier.

Barely 2 weeks into the CY, and the XAO has surprised many by closing today at 7540. This is >300 points above the end of 2022 .

Will this info alter any of entries from the stragglers out there, who have until Sunday night to lob a prediction in this most harmless of competition?

Protest Protest Protest
Is this now a Handicap Competition
If so What Handicap do you give them?

Surely it has to be at least 300 points

I appreciate that there is no prize money at stake here
BUT there is EGO !!!
And to some that is worth more than any MONEY

gg is looking good at the moment.

Holy cow! Where's the crash?

This looks more than a bear rally at the moment but maybe 7800 ish will cause a lot of selling.

I've missed at least one year of these punts, if not more.
If not too late...I'll go 7,943
Just basing that on a 10% year.
Always the optimist, this is probably the most pessimistic guess I've made!

Hi @systematic , it goes against my instincts to allow this entry, not because of any perceived benefit by coming late to the party but because, as self-appointed coordinator, your lob actually reduces the chances of my being closest at end of year with my pick. But, hey, I'm a nice guy; you're in 👍

If you allow these late entries I think it is only fair to give everyone a new entry with all the latest data
This should activate a few more posts!
