Hi Everyone,

Has anyone used or been contacted by www.shareprices.com.au?

They are alleged managers. They want to charge an account opening fee of $5990, currently discounted until next Tuesday down to $3,990.00 - I know right, sounds like a hustle already.

Charge 20% on profits on returns greater than 4% above ASX200.

They do have an AFSL, which is one thing, but thought it a bit rich to charge customers to use them. Apparently they trade through CMC Markets?

Hoping for some support to go or halt further discussions

Many Thanks

"As an accountant I find this website excellent to use for researching both my own stocks and my clients stocks.

I'm proud to let you know that I have referred the SharePrices website to both my accountancy colleagues and my clients to help with all their own stock market research needs and portfolios."

Really?

From what you have written you should know the answer yourself. Wide birth and run comes to mind.

Ask them "What happens when I lose?"
Do they cover any losses and/or compensate you when your account's performance drops 4% below ASX All Ords? If they answer No, give me a call. I might have a great offer for you. Anything from Spanish Prison Gangs to the Eiffel Tower and Sydney Harbour Bridge...

Steer clear is my personal choice. There are predecessor companies to this one. You have to question If somebody is really good at what they do and provide a great service to their clients why do they keep changing names and corporate structures.

Yes bluffysoso, I have been contacted by shareprices.com.au about FX trading.

The website shows that the FX fund has been trading since August 2018 and has produced an average return of 3.45% per month till end April 2020. Sound believable for FX, provided you know what you're doing. Minimum starting balance is $100,000 but when I baulked at this, it came down to $30,000.

I know the test is; "Does it sound too good to be true?".

I'm sitting here waiting for your expert advice!

Is www.shareprices.com.au a scam company. Contacted today and promising large returns

Hi Julieo

I could cut-and-paste your comment above; same happened to me. Reminds me of: "If it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is".

So I also have the obvious question about this being a scam company.

Does anyone have GOOD experiences with shareprices.com.au?

Thanking you.

I'm fairly simple.

I went to their site and clicked about.

I looked up one of their companies on abr.business.gov.au and entered an ABN from their site.

https://www.abr.business.gov.au/Help/AbnFormat?SearchText=27623398890

The eleven last digits are the "ABN" for Share Prices Advisory Pty Ltd.

I then found a little black box down the bottom right hand corner. I was then distracted.

After she left I found the little black box again and pressed "check"

To my horror it came back as .
ico-error.png Invalid ABN

Quelle horreur.

I rechecked and it may have been my bliss that interfered but the .gov.au site has an
algorithm for checking companies and it again came back as.

ico-error.png Invalid ABN

May I ask somebody else to verify or validate.

Their grammar ain't none too good, then I've never been to Lagos. I meant Vegas.

They do have lovely colours on their website, I'll give them that.

Use your brains people.

Firms that can generate 3% a month in any market don't cold call retail investors offering to trade their money.

You got contacted because your details are on a list titled "suckers with money".

Even if a hundred "people" end up posting on this thread about their "good" experiences.
