Travel is my passion. I keep a list of the countries I have visited in a text file on my desktop and a map of the world above my desk. Here is my list:

Pretty much all of the above was done backpacking and staying in youth hostels. About two years of travel all up.

Singapore...Fiji....New Zealand....L.A.......Chicago,Illinois.....these trips were a few years ago, have been a bit tied up here in Oz for 10 yrs.
My brother works for Qantas so have had different opportunities to go cheaply.....more to come I hope..

Geez Joe Blow,

Auckand isn't really a part of New Zealand . It's just some sort of growth that appeared and won't go away .

I'm off this weekend for a trip to China . , Russia , Belarus , Ukraine and anywhere else that takes my fancy.

Should be lots of fun and should be lots of nice people to meet to and a chance to catch up with some Russian friends

I got one continent to go...south america
so my passport is pretty healthy
never stood on antartica but have fished off it ...so I'm cheating a little and crossing it off my list
have spent nearly 3 years living out of a backpack and at 35 still haven't got the monkey off my back....although there's no way I'm staying at backpackers again...totally over it ...that's old age for you
Still wanting to get to the middle east but that could be some time in the future

those who have been to russia did you visit st petersburg? I think it is the coolest place and most beautiful place I have visted.

yup... absolutely sensational place St Petersberg...

The Venice of the East...How about the Summer Palace, modeled on Versaille... magnificent....? And the Hermitage museum.... The women in there were.... Ooops... I did see some nice artifacts too...

Most of the tourists in St Petersberg were actually Russians from other parts of the country.... and most were young and female... tho not many knew English!


I was involved in a mugging too... Two dodgy looking russians with singlets... in broad daylight... I managed to escape withouth any loss or damage... phew..

But still, i thought it was a great city to visit... and brings back some fantastic memories...!


Other cities i loved... Barcelona, and Quebec City, Canada.... (lot better than Paris)

How could i forget... great places to visit...

yes the women i mean buildings such as the hermitage and winter palce were awesome. the hermitage is without a doubt the best museum in the world! I also realised that there werent many english people. it is very hard to obtain a visa for russia even though they have 3million tourists each year! an interesing fact I learnt. the palaces there are tremendous some of the best in the world! would recommend it to all.

beware it is very expensive even more so then london!

I went to nearly every palace mansion etc!! yeh that hovercraft was fun I went to moscow and it does not compare or rank as highly compared to st petersburg. it is all because of the communists which ran the country from there. they didnt like any colour or originality it is so bland and dull! however there were some good clubs and bars etc. are you serious it was more expensive then london. when did you go there?
