Uranium resurgence

I was being a bit tongue in cheek about the 16 years. That's the type of stuff being fed into the news by the Democrats to be fearful of Trump.
it has been floated ( probably by stirrers ) and caused screams of terror by the Democrats

and after so many recent conventions ignored in the last 12 years over there , is this just another convention ignored at a convenient time .

Biden proved a President only needs to stand and mumble , so Trump in a wheelchair and shouting should be very tolerated

insane , yes , but impossible ?

who knows what will happen next week ( let alone in 3 years time )
Thorium might be good. Does it reduce the cost and 'risk'?
according to the Chinese it does , you need less ( or maybe no water ) for cooling , , they are less complicated to build and if things stuff up you just walk away ( no need to encase the molten mess in thousands of tons of concrete )

now of course there is likely to be a trade-off , no easy way to turn spent fuel into warheads ,

maybe , the reason the old tech was abandoned ( by the west ) , so there was a reason they embraced uranium and not thorium
All that's important to me here is there's a risk-on for nuclear and uranium that will strongly support the development of additional plants world-wide and URNM flies off to the moon.
if the Chinese are correct and thorium needs no water for cooling , air cooling for uranium still shouldn't work on the Moon ( Saturn or Uranus maybe ambient temperature will be enough )

so the cost of sending water to the Moon should limit ( uranium ) nuclear power plants on the Moon ( and Venus )

uranium plants ( as the west builds them ) are reliable , long-life power and adjustable by humans to increase/decrease the output

but of the West's problem is they build them near the coast line and where seismic events are reasonably common

AND cost matters in the West .. Russia and China build them because they NEED more energy , the cost is secondary providing they deliver the energy promised on time .

while the West studies the finances BRICS is just likely to build them and make the plants pay by providing power where needed when needed

both nations have a completely different logic when planning ( to the West )

CANDU Canada does Thorium reactors.
thanks , i was unaware of that

somewhere i can do a little research ( but am very unlikely to install one on this farm .. unless there is thorium already here )

cheers

Getting back on Uranium bandawagon.
Added UEC on NYSE last night.
Mick

Good timing.

Uranium doing a lithium.
So many announcements regarding small reactors etc,
I would like to thank Jim Cramer for putting me onto Uranium stocks.

New potential micro rectors popping up everywhere.
Lucky for OZ that we are so much smarter than those other dumb countries putting Nuclear crap in.
We are blessed o have someone like Bowen to guide us on the path to zero. (zero what is the question - carbon, energy or GDP)?
Mick
