Trading logs

Hey guys,

I was just curious how people here keep track of there trades and reasons

I haven't ever been trading regularly enough to keep a log. (More when I have some time to do some research may be a few stocks occasionally). My goal this year is to try make a few trades per week (or decide not to if there are no good trades i identify) and keep a log.

I'll probably use a excel file to track prices and reason for trade
I will be trading with IB.

Yeh i have always just used excel.
I have set up formulas to auto calculate total risk, ptofits/losses etc.
All i do is update the closing prices daily, and the formulas do all the work

IB’s phone app has facility to have a number of watch lists you can add and take from
