The completely useless irrelevant thread

We were watching "Border Security" on TV tonight when one of my sons called in for a few minutes. It was getting to the stage where the Chinese lady's bags were being opened after she denied any contraband to reveal all her forbidden fruit, bats, eggs etc. We asked him to sit down.

He then said. "Watching White Boomer pr0n again Dad ? " We laughed and laughed and laughed. What a good description of the show and our reactions to it.

Here in WA we have a set of new gun laws.
My brother who is an avid shooter belongs to a sizeable gun club so that firearm is not an issue.
He has two other firearms that required a farm to be registered to.
Not a problem in the past easy as for the form etc.
Yesterday I spent several hours here at home and at his place trying to get the necessary forms finalised.
Again today he and his wife this time fronted up to the necessary Govt Dept to try and get help.
I then went over to his place, still no success.
He and I then took all the necessary documentation and went back there.
After being told by a very helpful young lady, they themselves didn't know how this new system really worked.
The Smart phone set-up won't accept the relevant information.
This young lady then proceeded to work from two screens some distance apart to try and get the information into the system.
Terrific.
After nearly 3 hours we now have some of the portal secured and now await on someone backstage to approve what she did for him this afternoon.
And to top it off, today April 30 is the cut-off day to have all of this sorted out.
Then I have to acknowledge that he has my permission to come onto the farm
Yppie do dar.
What a system when nobody can access it.
A good way to keep responsible gun owners, and their guns off the streets.

Comediennes Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders shared a flat together early in their careers. French has remarked on Saunders' messy habits when sharing the house saying: "When we lived together in Chalk Farm, she had a room at the top of the house. We got broken into and the police said, 'Well, it is quite bad, but the worst is that room at the top.' And, of course, nobody had been in there."

One of the little known pleasures of visiting Ireland is watching young ladies fight for a ball with sticks. Camogie is similar to hockey with a bigger stick and no rules. Shame on the organisers making the young ladies wear "skorts".
