Short Squeeze

Have any of you seen a real life short squeeze on the ASX?

I am following a few stocks and it always seems to be the shorter's fault for the SP, never management, bad drill results or economic head winds.

MP1 - Megaport Limited

Pressed to Post before I finished :) The chart makes me wonder if there's insto influence to allow accumulation at around this price such as noted by Frugal. I struggle to see where margin expansion will come from to achieve their guidance in the next 2 years to satisfy analyst expectations.

After today, if BOE continues up, it's a big live squeeze. It's on a massive 22.43% shorted, top #1of the shorts currently. Huge.
Shorts data is 5 days old generally though. That data from 20/8/2025.

Uranium prices are starting to climb higher again, heading towards $80. It is possible BOE was oversold.

That's subjective of what start and end dates you want to choose, percentage shorted on that date range, and share price at start and end.
I did state some calculations in the Megarort thread, either before or after the post. Was more a volume calculation.

Also what did they get wrong if you have any insights?

The share price went up instead of down.

With BOE, yes, way oversold (RSI indicator) late July. It plateaued or consolidated, now it seems to be on the bounce back.
As long as the price goes up, shorters are getting squeezed regardless of delayed data about it.

Hopefully some shorts unwinding in a big way today?
I love it when shorters get dacked!

BOE is the stock I was alluding to @frugal.rock , its been an interesting ride to say the least.

I mused late last week, that the shortest are probably manipulating the price both ways on BOE...

I am sure they are and there is probably a lot of shares changing from the right hand to the left hand, giving the illusion of greater demand volume than there really is. I would really like to be wrong though, I think we need to get to $2.28 then grind away at the gap which is a long way at $3.38.
