Guy has 10 cops to give him a warrant. This guy has been a pest for years. How the hell does he have firearms?

There's a massive level of system failure here.
Another one of those suss fking moments Victoria is famous for.
He's obviously a problem because 10 cops don't just rock up for shts and giggles. Then to shoot cops, why the hell did he have guns if he is unstable?
Were they under someone else's name?
 
There's probably 400 deaths a day with roughly 20 "tragic" deaths. How many a day do you all mourn?
Im not a fan of those pretending to give a sht and forgetting the next day.


Im interested in how this was allowed to get to this stage and what actually happened.
Because it looks like a monumental stuff up.
 
So looks like cops went there on a firearms prohibition order. The neighbours said this guy had every gun you could think of.
This should of been done by SOG.
At no stage should this guy been let out of sight, let alone by 10 cops. You know he has weapons ffs.

Massive failure of risk assessment, two cops end up dead. Thats the tragedy.

Yes but it was to check for firearms (FPO) and historic sex offences.
The neighbours allegedly knew he had firearms.

True, but it may well happen again unless his motivations and those of people like him are understood and subverted,

They are much like terrorists imo, people with a grudge and willing to use violence to act out their fantasies.

I'd say poor planning is a big part. Who were the morons in charge. The guy is a known nutter
 
Also why is our most "progressive state" full of these nutters. That had nazis marching down the street and from what I heard, its movement is growing strongly.
Government has overstepped in too many areas and created these fringe groups.
 
Funeral today. The young cop from Belgium was loved by everyone that knew him. Funny fun loving, one female cop said he was like a brother and told funny stories about him.

Massive turnout and even brought a lump in my throat as the bagpipes wailed.
 
News of a one million dollar reward from the Victorian for information leading to the arrest of this piece of human waste.
If he is being helped/hidden/fed by "mates" will this amount of money trigger their conscience and inform the police as to his whereabouts??

Does the government give million dollar rewards to all accused murderers?

Police lives are worth no more than the lives of other citizens.

Do you think his mates trust the government to actually give them that $1 million?

I wouldn't think that the police would really care, probably prefer dead.
If he had to face a court no doubt he would be deemed a nut case and sentenced to a secure but more comfortable new home.

Yea, most of these nut cases are too crazy to realise that they will get paid.
There is a long history of paying up and all you need to do is give the information, not go to court, not appear in public, not have your name published.

It's costing VicPol a fortune to conduct this operation so the million dollars is an easy saving.
 
They don't pay. I don't think any have paid out.
