My little yapper ATH remains in last place with which I am extremely disappointed. I am now definitely looking at not winning the comp, probably 3rd is the best for which I can hope behind @access and @Miner .

Only 6 trading days left and then the month of horror, deprivation and poverty of October. I like to stay positive.

@Garpal Gumnut Fear not gg because I am falling down the ladder at a precarious rate, so it may be a battle for the steering position yet.

The chappie with a nautical flavor is making it a bit hard.

So ... my stock is at 0.011, and at the beginning of the month it was 0.014. @access is a percentage gain of 182.85, his original stock price on entry was 1.195

So according to my calculations using fingers of both hands I only need to achieve a price of .021 to draw even with him as of today. Nobody can tell the future and I'm not going to do Bayesian analysis of price movements as I need all my fingers for a dinner of roast sausages with brown sauce shortly.

$.021 is just over 2c.

Achievable ? Definitely. I'd like to just draw even with @access as I know the heartbreak of being ahead and have a sweet little puppy stock like ATH creep up on me and win. Bring on tomorrow.

How many would be in Profit if this was a real Monthly Contest
ie: Start on a MORNING and Finish on the Close of Day

Only in this Game is a Friday close accepted as a Start on Monday with a Friday's closing Price

For example : In this months Comp
the DRE closed on Friday and Opened up on Monday "THE START "with a False Start of 33.3 % Gain on the OPEN

NB: For the Newbies only Don't think that you can ever Buy at Yesterdays Close EVER!

IMHO it has Killed Most if not ALL BACK- TESTING systems

FWIW I was outvoted about Starting any COMPETITION on the OPEN Prices Years ago

well those who are yet to retire deserve a static set of rules , so they can plan astutely , it is hard enough just to navigate your life for the next 30 or 40 years , without somebody else messing with your ( compulsory ) savings plan , to suit THEIR personal whims and agendas ( not the future retiree's )

there is no point in having a compulsory savings plan , if there is no incentive to plan wisely , not that most governments are capable of doing that anyway ( Kerry Packer reference )

not for long , once they successfully target a few they will upscale to the multitudes ( except for the few protected species )

Well gg as of 4.10pm today you are relived of the steering position for the Comp.
As I unfortunately predicted I now have this most important job of keep the Comp going in a straight line.
You now appear to be on the way up the ladder, albeit only by one place.

I couldn't work out who you were referring to @frugal.rock , so I logged out and realised that the fw of all time was shouting in to his reflection in the dunny. It is amazing how one dh can spoil a nice conversation. It was a good idea that post of yours as I believe he has ignored many and they would not have been able to see the thread. What a nasty thing to do as DJT would say. Thanks be to gawd I've had him on ignore for many years, but why? why be a dh when he could contribute in a positive way.

@Miner , I had a look at DRE and i'd not be as unsure as you are that you have not picked a comp winner. DRE sounds a bit like NMG a few months back and the positive announcements and big boys kept on coming and the price kept on heading north. The chart looks tasty as well. Not to take anything away from @access , you may be no.1 come next Tuesday evening. Either of you being 1/2 would make my week.

It's amazing how proper dh's can wind people up. I suppose that's why he does it. Just to wind people up.
