Hello, I'm a newbie trying to get into trading by playing those stock market games (one being held by ASX and plan to enter another one that will come out soon) and I would like to know if there was any books, online reputable sources or any threads on this forum or another forum that would lead my way to be successful at short term trading. The compeititons only last for 2-3 months and does not really allow for long term strategies to work (unless I'm wrong about this) so finding resoruces on profitable short term trading is a must.
I've recently picked up a book called "Technical Anaylsis of the Financial Markets" by John Murphy but it appears the book tends to focus more on longer term strategies (and does not really specify a system, just the techniques you could add to a system).
Can anyone help me out?
