Potash - where is the Aussie industry at?

Interested in any thoughts on the AUS potash industry.

Lots seem to be said by participants but struggling to see tangible progress.

AMN leading the industry at least in value. SO4 have not delivered on several commitments. RWD appear in a spiral (with some of my funds stuck in there) and KLL have made what appears good progress but seems to be ignored or discounted by investors. BCI & APC appear to be fringe players.

I thought potential for industry was BIG but is it the impossible dream?

They've gone all in on this compared to RIO that went with Lithium. Will be interesting to see who is correct. Maybe long term both will be OK. Both very understandable long term narratives. But, both minerals in abundance. They would both be better having gone harder after copper, IMO.
 
Potash has been a great way for investors to lose money, they promise so much and deliver so little, google SO4 and Kallium lakes you will get a good feel for sector from their story.

@sptrawler I was a happy investor in more than a couple of these companies some years ago. The promose of potash for the agriculture sector and a export industry to boot also. Traded them consistently and made better than pocket money., but saw the writing on the wall and managed to divest the holdings and maintain a tidy profit.
Really sad to see their demise.

Just another in the long line of Australian ponzi schemes, where it is more about scamming than actually producing.
Also probably why so many small caps are struggling, no longer awash with easy money, both frpm the punter and the Govt.

Thanks @Country Lad and @Sean K . I tend to take the optimistic road on Potash over that of @sptrawler . BHP certainly got a run in the world press on this although that may be down to a good PR department rather than fundamentals.

It does make sense though that Potash in a starving world would be a goer rather than Lithium which is now garnering more headwinds. Where is that pimply teenager in his shed/garage with an answer to the problem of clean fuel?
