Planning to retire

Very deceiving photo.
In Colombo. So bored after one day I went and hired a motorcycle (after the Dons speech).
Almost sold some CSL so we'll see how is goes.
Internet wifi is really bad. Phones ok though.
 
Beating the market 7 weeks in a row now. .
Just sold a portion of CSL.
Feeling thankful in a country that is so poor.
(Probably get run over by a truck tomorrow. )
 
So planning to again retire.

Took on a last project setting up a production line in Thailand.

Granted my German mentality doesn't suit Thai Standards and ethics but then again I didn't expect it too.
Even allowing for this I can't make it work so looking forward to freeing myself up from all commitments.

Just putting it out there.

Thai dudes tend to do it how they want.

We are making parts for machines making Semiconductors.
Sample Parts have been made and sent off for evaluation.
The company mainly make cabinets, Trailers and other fabricated products.
They just don't have the correct mindset for High quality scientific parts, and I am not going to hold the can when they fail.

I'm offering to stay and train my replacement but haven't heard back.
Headquarters is in Australia and I have sort advice from a few key people who know me. I want to be sure to maintain my reputation and from cooler heads know if there was anything else I could do approach wise.

Pity.
 
Those machine parts (depending on what it is) are some of the most complex devices ever built. Unless it's easy like a bunch of hepa filters good luck.

Just go steal some Malaysians.

It is actually management.

The actual setup is supposed to be modern fixture based. (Even automated eventually). Not the hard arsed manual loading of the past.

Thias are fine.... But give me some Vietnamese for this any time,

Thai guys can be stubborn. I always found that Thai women running a business were more likely to listen.

3 months.

Funny things is. My Thai wife form Australia is visiting her Australian husband living in Thailand.this has been said quite a lot as we have had to do a lot of admin work.

I will return to Oz early August. No idea what to do.
Applied online for a few jobs to fill in time. No answers. LOL.
Happy enough to do my own Renos around the house.
 
Volunteer work is always an option.
 
Back in Melb now.... Bought a 4WD getting a custom-made trailer for 2 Bikes and planning some camping trips to sample some Grey nomad life.
Fairly bored, Definitely the Hyper-active in me needing to do something. Also
Just for the exercise applied for machining jobs as there is supposed to be a "skilled shortage" nearly getting no replies or passed over. (overqualified/ lacking recent experience) Really thinking Australia is getting surreal....

Machining jobs, in Australia, as if.
That was a long time ago, when work was carried out in house.
Now most things are contract to replace, not refurbish and send back to manufacturer for refurbishment, or bring the manufacturer to site.Lol

Do a baristas course, uber, or FIFO. They are your best bet, for permanent work.

NDIS apparently was good, but a bit shaky at the moment.

Owned and ran a restaurant for 5 plus years. Can't get a wait job.
Uber on my 1000CC Bike .... LOL
Thought about FIFO to drive a Truck. Was gonna do the license and all but they want Minimum 2 years experience.
If I wanna drive the Outback I'll drive my own 4WD,
NDIS gravy train is coming to a halt i hope. They'd put me on it rather than work in it.

Word got out and I am doing a bit of hands on work and standardizing of processes at a smallish plastic factory where I once got contract work done from.

It''ll do till I get my New 4WD and Bike trailer set up with a new Dirt bike.

Plan is to tow the Bikes to desirable destinations and do touring there Dirt and road Bike rather than riding the bike such a long distance to get there. Faark Australia is a big place.

Happy I am not needed to support the Australian manufacturing sector.
