LYC - Lynas Rare Earths

Isn't there something about significant holders not required to notify changes unless, or, until it's 1 or 2 % higher/ lower holding than last notified?
I think it has to do with when the purchasing or disposal comes to an end. A one-off is by definition, that.

I suspect the answer will come from someone I have on ignore.

Under Australian corporations law, you must lodge a substantial holding notice (Form 603) with the ASX and the company if you acquire a 5% or more relevant interest in the voting shares of a listed company. You must also file a notice when your holding changes by 1 percentage point or more, or when you cease to have a substantial holding. These notices must be lodged within two business days of the relevant event. The notice requires disclosure of documents or arrangements contributing to your voting power.

AI generated, so it might be wrong

thanks, parsimonious pebble

not an area of concern my suburban accountant deals with ... I had the subsequent thought; I think it is Directors that (need to) notify.

I need to have a good look and research this one before participating in the SPP. The SP was $8 points only a few months ago, and now it’s traveling at $13 just before a SPP? Coincidence or planned?

LYNAS RARE EARTHS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETES A$750 MILLION INSTITUTIONAL PLACEMENT @ $13.25, .

.... feeling lucky, punk?

I reckon ole Trump would love to get his mitts on LYC.

I still reckon the Americans are buying. Regina Rinehart has thrown her political allegiance in with him from what I read in the newspapers.

Posting on social media, the Australian Prime Minister said that he had “another warm and constructive conversation with President @realDonaldTrump. We discussed our trade and economic relationship as well as areas for growth including critical minerals.”

This is the fourth fourth telephone call since the US President was re-elected last November,

Hmmm Do these "phone hook-ups" really mean much.

Albo trying to pretend he matters
Both him as my new country leader and my birth country president Macron are trying hard to pretend they count.
it is a sign of both oversize ego, low and decadend economy as powerful and on the rise countries are invited.
does this matter for LYC ?
not really.

It is not without the realms of possibility that some people post on the LYC thread just so's potential investors buy and thus increase the share pricce.

These people can be recognised by spellin mistakes and never saying anything about p/e, results, SPP's and other stuff and then when they have finished just sign off.

Remembering to include CGT in the calculation
sure John, but never understood that overall thinking...
Do i wait for the SP to fall and shout victory because i pay less in tax?
Or expect that tax rate will decrease next financial years for me?
i actually believe the opposite ..
That CG could also compensate a loss elsewhere as well.
i sold today at 14.70
assuming i get the same number..
i get new SPP shares today at 13.25
So get around $1.4 realised profit per share (10%)
SP could fall later..no difference to this 10% extra at the starting block
i really see no disadvantage

hope I am not included in the above GG

LYC and MP are probably the only rare earth plays for the Western World IMO... the rest are speccy.

Any ex China rare earth company is speccy.
LYC and MP are not the same.
Just because MP has secured a price floor and US Govt commitment doesn't mean the same will happen to LYC.
MP has a domestic market, Australia does not.

that's GOLD
