Hi guys,

Still learning about value investing as a method to grow my wealth long term.

But, then sometimes i think, why dont i just stick it all in BRK? Pretty good long term return, for a pretty good risk profile with Buffett in charge for now?

I feel like i will need to dedicate a huuuge amount of hours to get to returns anywhere near them...so why bother.

thoughts?

Look at MKL as well.

I wouldn't expect the wheels to come off BRK past Buffett and Munger though, beyond perhaps a short term buying opportunity. there are some tremendous people in the BRK group of companies including Coombes and Weschler who are proven capital allocators. Buffett has always sought permanence, having a mortal fear of death. The structures he has put in place, and the operating businesses that make up BRK will long outlive him IMHO. The stock is 10-20% below IV in my view, and you could do a lot worse than adding it to your long term holdings. From here though, 3-4% on the S&P over 10 years is probably as good as it will get.

Hold both, not advice etc.

PS. It's a long journey, there is no reason you can't hold BRK and learn value investing at the same time :) There are lots of great resources out there, the manual of ideas podcasts where they interview professional value investors is a great place to start, Buffetts original partnership letters also shows the roots of the thinking.

Anyone else got any thoughts??? Serious question! How can I beat brks return!

Trudging through brk partnership letters ATM. Just finished security analysis before that

Buy BRK with leverage.
