Hi guys,

Still learning about value investing as a method to grow my wealth long term.

But, then sometimes i think, why dont i just stick it all in BRK? Pretty good long term return, for a pretty good risk profile with Buffett in charge for now?

I feel like i will need to dedicate a huuuge amount of hours to get to returns anywhere near them...so why bother.

thoughts?

Look at MKL as well.

I wouldn't expect the wheels to come off BRK past Buffett and Munger though, beyond perhaps a short term buying opportunity. there are some tremendous people in the BRK group of companies including Coombes and Weschler who are proven capital allocators. Buffett has always sought permanence, having a mortal fear of death. The structures he has put in place, and the operating businesses that make up BRK will long outlive him IMHO. The stock is 10-20% below IV in my view, and you could do a lot worse than adding it to your long term holdings. From here though, 3-4% on the S&P over 10 years is probably as good as it will get.

Hold both, not advice etc.

PS. It's a long journey, there is no reason you can't hold BRK and learn value investing at the same time There are lots of great resources out there, the manual of ideas podcasts where they interview professional value investors is a great place to start, Buffetts original partnership letters also shows the roots of the thinking.

Anyone else got any thoughts??? Serious question! How can I beat brks return!

Trudging through brk partnership letters ATM. Just finished security analysis before that

Buy BRK with leverage.
