JDO - Judo Capital Holdings

I've added 2.7x to the small holding I held this morning, rightly or wrongly, at $1.415 brings average to $1.545
Multi year hold plan with dividends hopefully coming into play one day. 🤞

UBS group became a JDO substantial share holder last week . ( with 5 % and 59 million shares ) Can't tell what they've been paying for all their parcels in the very long list reported below . Need a magnifying glass and half a day to work it out !
I bought another 10 grand parcel at $ 1.40 this morning for no other good reason than I'm rapidly running out of bargains . They're all just about gone , now .The bottom's in , folks . 9th of April or thereabouts . Shadow Trader's Peter Reznicek picked it perfectly .
If you can't get access to his Week End Edition on the captain's website , it's worth getting it for yourself , off You Tube . This dude is worth paying attention to , even though he's never a long term holder , ( one day to one week : that's his usual range ) , doesn't even have a 401 K plan ! Obviously a self employed Yank , never gonna work for The Man , again . Good on him , I say .

Not Sure Bottom hit.
I jumped the Gun (Well had an open order @$1.5)
.
Looking at 1.35 for an order..... and it may go lower. Good buissness over all though.

JDO down 4 % to $ 1.38 . Bought another 10 grand parcel this arvo at $ 1.39 only because my SVM silly bid expired . ETF GEAR 's also dropped me and VGS has gone to the moon . So , what's left ? This thing's still in downtrend but chart wise it seems to be flattening off around that $ 1.40 level for the past few weeks . Maybe . Any way , we'll see.

Yea I thought I timed this perfectly a couple of weeks ago.
When I bang a bottom I expect it to recover a bit quickly. When they hover like this not a good sign. Still confident. Although less so than 2 weeks ago.

Although the trend during the day was certainly down , from $1.445 to $ 1.365 with 5 3/4 million shares traded , the S.P. perked up a bit to $ 1.385 in the 10 minutes after hours trade . Instos were into it ! Volume was over a million and CXA was still crossing trades nearly 40 minutes after the close . Is JDO going to a dollar ? Don't think so , somehow . There are buyers in the shadows and they're not mums and dads .

Somehow I believe that with all the new financial regulations yet to come JDO is at a disadvantage against the big guys. You guys @dyna @UMike and @frugal.rock may benefit though from a t/o or amalgamation.

gg

I just don't think these guys will do T/O at all.

Seems they started to be the 5th pillar.... not to be a T/O target. might be wrong. I am OK with this share BTW....... Not sure on some others....
.
.
Time will tell.

JDO's steep downtrend might have settled for now , around that $ 1.40 level .

Investor Day presentation in Sydney , today . See below .
Market must have liked future prospects for bank lending to small business under the present regime , as the S. P. 's up 7 % to $ 1.48 . That's a bit iffy I think , as there's not much optimism out there in SME land . Time will tell .

Bought some of this in the Superannuation fund last week at $1.505
Expecting a long hold.
Hopefully I'm not too old by the time they announce a maiden dividend.
@DrBourse @galumay
Question for you guys; with your FA metrics and your experience, could you hazard a guess when/if these guys might pay a dividend?

Hi @frugal.rock

The JDO financials are pretty skinny atm, so using the basic Financial methods to answer your Q is a bit of a worry.

A quick look at the Non-Existent JDO Financials would suggest that they are not in a position to pay a dividend within the ST.

If they were to pay a Dividend within the ST, I would imagine a small shareholder revolt could happen.

A basic principle is that dividends or other distributions must not be paid out of Capital even if the Articles of a company authorise such a payment.

So that still leaves some other avenues for JDO, a couple would be - Do they have the Cash on Hand, or at least, Cash available at very short notice, or do they have the Earnings (Income), or are the JDO Net Profits enough to service a Dividend.

Then looking at the longer term is even more hypothetical – and as you know I deal in facts, not hypothetical.

Sorry M8, no definitive answer from me - but @Value Collector would be a good member to ask.

Cheers.

Breaking through ST resistance.

That huge volume bar back in March makes all the volume look insignificant on a 6 month daily bars chart.
3 months high.
