At the moment the dust is settled and 1 dam has a tiny puddle at the bottom.Hopefully you have a damp miserable winter and all the dams fill up and some grass covers the dust for you
Yep this is actually what you call rain, might finally get some water flowing through the rapids. Finally a bit of winter weather here today. Looks as if it will be a good day to stay indoors and keep the home fire bur
I guess he means sub-AntarcticThe last 3 days have almost been sun Arctic with a very cold
She Who is Never Wrong just reported that the overnight and early morning rain amounted to 17.5 mm.Yep this is actually what you call rain, might finally get some water flowing through the rapids.
We do need a lot more. She Who is Never Wrong just reported that the overnight and early morning rain amounted to 17.5 mm.
Just need a little bit more, as the saying goes.
Not that I am a whinging farmer, of course!!!
Most definitely Wayne a lot, lot more.We do need a lot more.
We had a bit of rain 3 days ago, enough to make for a warm humid night but clear skies since and temps dropping. The weather is not very enticing to be outside, one short squall after another, so I may just partake of a short kip.
We got bugger all down here. ½mm maybe. It is just as well that BOM aren't paid for accurate forecasting.
Today's effort was 0-4 mmm. We actually received 9.5mm
Very welcome rainfall but some accuracy would be helpful.
The red mat ants have a far better indication of what is coming.
They started building their nest exterior wall up to a height that they reckon will help keep the water out of the nest.
The one that I looked at this morning was about 30mm high, enough to withstand about 25mm of rain.
Though BOM couldn't forecast rain as it is falling, we did get 9.5 mm yesterday, a vast improvement on the forecast amount.
