It's Raining

Another morning with a handy rainfall.
Haven't had a chance to get outside as yet to check on the amount, but what I can see there a few decent size puddles which usually equates to at least 10-15 mm.
Main rainwater tank is getting close to full, thankfully.

With some rain forecast for this morning I think I had better go and replenish the wood supply for the indoor fire.

We have a pretty dire forecast for the South-West today.
Just looking at the BOM weather map shows it is not that far from us.
Wood fire is stoked up, and She and Me won't be venturing outside for a while, I would think.
A possible 30mm forecast, that I will believe when it is in the rain gauge.

We have had a decent amount of rain so far, not the forecast amount though, now waiting on the severe thunderstorms that may hot the area sometime this afternoon.

It would appear that due to a lack in interest today's dire weather forecast it is just a pipe dream.
To date some fog and drizzle this morning, and some patchy light showers.
Only got 3mm in the gauge so far.

Due to lack of interest in doing any work at all, I am having unscheduled day off (let's call it a sickie for want of a better word).

It's actually glorious, cool, sunny, the river is gently burbling through here at the rapids, and with the kids back at school, very quiet.

Bliss.

@wayneL Similar here also.
Fed the bovines and then completely lost any interest in what could be done, albeit at a very limited pace so far.
The BOM temp says 17.2C but feels like 14.2C. Why not just ay it it 14.2C and be done with it.
No way does it feel like 17C here on the Scarp today.

@Smurf1976 well on the couple of times that i was outside today the temp felt nothing like the projected 17C, more like 10-12C.
Yeah but from a meteorological perspective it's what it is, not what it feels like to humans, that counts.

The "feels like" is really just a human experience thing. :2twocents

The forecast wild and wet weather has finally arrived. 20mm so far and the wind is whistling around the abode.
Temp has dropped significantly to 9.6C with a forecast min of 4C.

After two days of almost constant rain, my cat is decidedly unimpressed with the situation.

She prefers sitting outside in the garden but doesn't prefer being rained on. :2twocents

Another proposed deluge forecast tomorrow with up to 30mm perhaps in the gauge.
None of the Red Hill Farm dams are yet to overflow and the creeks are still dry.

At this stage of the day, extremely cold, some biting wind and showers. Temp just hit the max of 11.1C and feels like about 8C.
Hevy rain forecast for this afternoon.

Bell's Rapids are much more rapid after that lot. The Avon Descent should be a cracker after all.
