I wouldn't mind a biz that can earl 0.9 mil per employee and a pre-tax profit of 55%.

Sorry to interrupt folks, but i have a question regarding TWS that i was hoping some of the systematic traders here may be able to help me with:
I have a DAX Strategy that uses a set time to exit the market just before the close. This strategy trades on NT while i am asleep, and if i want to trade it live a would feel more comfortable if i could setup TWS to flatten everything just before the close. I could use Lock and Exit configure to shut down TWS after the exit time on NT, and if it could flatten everything then i would not risk holding overnight. So basically i want a backup in TWS in case TWS looses its connection...I can't find this option anywhere and i am wondering if anyone has come across this before? I am using TWS 921.
Cheers,
CanOz

Actually, couldn't you just set the GoodAfterTime to your exit time, and submit a MKT order whenever you want?
IB TWS has installed a new version and ive lost all my settings wich is anoying.
Hi,
I would like to know if there is a way to display indicative prices during the opening and closing auctions for Australian stocks.
I've found that there is a column on TWS which you can insert called "Auction Price" but this does not populate during the opening or closing auctions.
I've found it to be crucial if you're trading on smaller stocks as whether the stock opens at 29c or 29.5c can be the whole reason for your trade, and so I'd like to have this updating in real time. I have previously traded using First Prudential (used Web-iress) and Marketech and both of these had the feature. Even Comsec has it these days where it will display the indicative opening/closing price based on all the submitted buy and sell orders, but of course you need to refresh it.
Of course you can always see the prices in market depth updating in real time, but if there are many orders over multiple price levels it can be difficult to work out at a glance. Thus the requirement for a simple software tool to display what the average of those prices will be.
Anyone know if this is possible? Or have a way around it? An add-on tool to TWS for example? Or have I just missed the feature somewhere?
Also, figured I could throw it out there: often I see a computer operating during the opening/closing auctions (on small stocks), such that they want the stock to close at a certain price, and it will automatically adjust order sizes to be say '1 share' less than the bid or ask depending on where they are hoping to get the stock to close. I've never been able to find any details on how to get a copy of, buy, etc. one of these programs to work in with order entry in this way. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Baxter.

Couldn't you send a OCO linked MOC (Market On Close) order with all position. If you have a target order OCO it to the MOC order. That way if the target hasn't been hit before close your MOC order will trigger closing the position and cancelling your target and stop order.
I guess that will do it. Only one way to know for sure..... and it will not involve this
Hi folks,
First-time poster, long-time trader (sounds a bit like an AA meeting intro...).
I'm about to sign-up for IB, and I've got a couple of questions that I'm struggling to find answers for:
1) As a US broker, what happens to an Australian individual's holdings if IB goes bust? Has anyone found any policies relating to this?
Hi Lone Wolf,
Thanks for the response. I saw that IB was trying to get CHESS up and running as a 2011 priority, which I assume would improve the holding risk? (i.e. under CHESS, the holdings should be under my individual name). Has CHESS for IB gone ahead in 2011 as scheduled?
