Designed over 5 years (for Motley Fools), this fully functional spreadsheet can handle most things.
Simple to use (fill in forms) - just enter your buys/sells and the system does the rest automatically (even Split Sells !)
Contains all current ASX codes, Dividends and daily Share prices (all of which can be updated from a number of sources).
Reports include - Dividends, Franking Credits, Profits/Losses, Capital Gains, etc which can be printed or exported to CSV/PDF.
No minimum or maximum holdings, this gives you visibility of everything.
No charts or recommendations - it is only to track what you own !

Give it a try and then, if it works for you, just email me at the address in the file and I will send you the unlock code. (I need to know who actually uses it so that I can send regular Dividend updates).
I include a user guide to help get you started.
cheers
Malc
P.S. Windows only. Mac version under development.

I have been assured by the OP that the spreadsheet is completely free to use and is not a commercial product. Therefore no payment is required.

Down loaded... I'll play around with it at work.

On First viewing..... I wonder who is it aimed at?

Hi,

It is designed as a simple (but comprehensive) tool to track all aspects of a portfolio (still being used by my Motley Fool subscribers).
Several assorted threads were looking for something like this and so here it is.
You can go on the internet and subscribe to a major site like sharesight but, for someone with just a few shares that is a bit of an overkill.
Keeps me busy in my retirement (and has returned me around 5% profits over 6 years)
cheers

@locks3, when a member posts information to help others they get a "big tick" from me.

Sharesight is a free alternative - that I personally use
Sharesight is a powerful "web-based" portfolio-tracking software that allows you to track your investments in one place with award-winning performance, dividend tracking, and tax reporting. It integrates with hundreds of brokers and finance apps, including CommSec, CMC Markets, and SelfWealth and the free plan allows you to track up to 10 holdings, with limited reporting and basic support.

Sharesight has over 300,000 investors tracking their investments and has been featured in various financial publications such as The Australian, The Sydney Morning Herald, Financial Review, Financial Observer, Investor's Business Daily, and Investopedia.

The website's features include tax reporting, performance tracking, dividend tracking, and integration with various brokers and software. It also has a professional pricing plan for financial advisers, a partner directory, and a developer API.

Sharesight's supported markets include the ASX, NASDAQ, NYSE, and more. It also has a blog, help centre, community forum, webinars, and events. You can also follow Sharesight on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn.

In summary, Sharesight is a comprehensive portfolio tracking software that offers various plans to suit different investors' needs. It integrates with a wide range of brokers and software, delivers powerful reporting and tracking features, and has a strong reputation among investors.

Hi and thanks for your comment.
Sharesight has 10 holdings for free whereas my Template has unlimited Holdings.
I basically designed this to be a simple system that is customiseable.
It has a number of things that Sharesight does not but of course, I cannot compete with them on the scale that they work.
I quite like my Whatif screen where you can see the effect of price changes instantly ?

I also have a screen that sorts your best shares to help with Selling?

It just provides people with another alternative tracker that is quite user friendly (I think)

@locks3 you raise some good points with your "Portfolio Template" and thank you for sharing. For those who don't have access to Microsoft Excel, I wanted to suggest an alternative portfolio-tracking solution that has been well-regarded by many traders and investors.

Sharesight is a cloud-based software that allows you to track your investments in one place, no matter where you are in the world. One of its benefits is that the information is automatically updated when you open your portfolio, so you don't have to worry about manual data entry. Additionally, Sharesight's data is continuously updated and improved, ensuring that your portfolio information is always up-to-date.

I understand that @locks3's template is a generous offer, and I'm not trying to take anything away from it. Rather, I wanted to offer an alternative solution that traders or investors may find helpful, especially those who prefer a cloud-based option. Feel free to explore both options and choose the one that works best for you!

Thankyou for sharing @locks3.

Excel is one of those invaluable tools, It's probably more useful to me than Amibroker.

I'm generally sceptical straight away of vba and macros, because i know just how powerfull they can be (for good or evil). I had a good ( not thorough) look through the code and there's nothing that stands out as malicious ..... So thank you for that.
