Whether they did or not is actually irrelevant and a matter of randomness.Or maybe not. Misreported by the Australian?
"Victorian health officials have refuted claims there is a link between the Black Lives Matter protest and a coronavirus outbreak in Melbourne’s public housing towers.
The Australian reported on Tuesday authorities that two people who attended the protests more than a month ago were part of the cluster.
However, in a statement to 7NEWS.com.au, the Department of Health and Human Services said there was no evidence linking the two.
“We are aware of six confirmed cases who attended the Black Lives Matter protest. Currently there is no evidence to suggest they acquired the virus from the protest,” a spokesperson said."

The essence of this thread is a rehash of fake news.Any chance you can post the full article ? Cheers.
Black Lives Matter, but they will still protest to spread the virus, to potentially kill black people.
Protests occurred across Australia.
What is your point?
Is there evidence these people spread COV19 to other protesters?
Is there evidence that these people were the original spreaders?
Is there evidence these people caused any further spread?
If you are going to resurrect old news, try adding some sense to whatever it is you think your are showing.
I don't create strawman arguments to win brownie points.have you ever considered the idea of common sense?
We were in lockdown, I am all for protests, but when we are in lockdown due to a pandemic, I do not need to show/prove/provide evidence that freedom of speech is above all other things.
By your position, we can have 10K of people gathering, no problem, as there is no evidence that this would lead to the spread of the disease? YES/NO
For someone who is so smart @rederob you can be so dumb!
I don't create strawman arguments to win brownie points.
The OP has no legs. I have linked information that shows the claims lack merit.
On the other hand there is you.
Your claim was from last month.I don't create strawman arguments to win brownie points.

From the outset I asked a number of questions and they have yet to be addressed.Your claim was from last month.
True. From the outset I asked a number of questions and they have yet to be addressed.
Reprising an article that has been fact checked and shown to lack merit is not how you about making a case fo a thread.
True.
I noticed another article today. I honestly don't think we will get a true picture due to the sensitivity of the group in question. However, it was unfortunate timing to hold a protest.
There were concerns at the time that holding the public rally would risk spreading COVID infections. Fair call.
The rally was held on June 6th. All evidence to date says that if there there were any infections arising from the rally they would surface within the next 2 weeks.
By June 22, 14 days after the BLM rally the DHHS daily report noted a total of 16 new cases . All but one were traced back to current outbreaks.
You can see the daily reports from the DHHS on the recent spread of the virus. There is nothing there to indicate increases in infections after the rally. This story is just a another "poison the well" project from the usual suspects.

From what I've read on the internet, the Governments aren't getting much backlash over the outbreak, which is a change the media usually love to sensationalise bad news.Agree it wasn't the right thing to do on all fronts timing wise and now its a great political football to be kicked around.
Nice distraction from system and people behaviour failures finger pointing rather than taking responsibility and fixing the current problems.
I have been a bit sunned by the continued reports out of NSW / Vic about the lack of compliance re social distancing etc, simple stuff to do really not hard yet failure to do it.
My local area here in WA it was full on from the get go (supermarkets being the exception at times) and by and large still the case even though we are virus free.

On the contrary.Interestingly though, the same resurgence hasn't been seen in Sydney?
That's why I don't watch any TV news, at least on the internet you can read and research at your own pace, rather than sit in front of the goggle box and have someone tell you what they feel like telling you.I must admit starting to get Corona fatigue reading any news.
Regardless of what happened with virus transmission, the protests haven’t done the underlying cause much good.Whether the outbreak was due to the march, or due to the private security guards at the hotel, it is a mess that someone needs to be ashamed for.
This will have put a lot of people into a world of pain, be it health related or financially related, it's a bloody disgrace all round.
They actually showed that wearing masks is an effective barrier to transmission.Regardless of what happened with virus transmission, the protests haven’t done the underlying cause much good.
