Been ripped off?

Hi there, new member here. Wondering if anyone can help.

My parents bought $10000 worth of shares in 2003 in a company called Quantum x21, INC. They bought them through a friends broker however are no longer in touch with those people. I can't seem to find them listed on the stock exchange. All I could find was http://www.qx21health.com/home/ which has the same symbol on there homepage as is on the share receipt. An ABN look up shows there an Australian public company but I cant see them on the ASX. The share receipt lists an address in Las Vegas, Nevada and also Sydney, Australia.

Any help would be appreciated. My parents think they have been ripped off. They may well have been but im trying to find out.

They may have, or maybe they are not listed on the asx or are listed on different exchange.

What does the paperwork you have say? Have you tried to ring any of the numbers, in particular the Sydney branch?

If abm has them as an Australian company then you probably still have the shares but they may not be listed on any exchange.

Best bet ring numbers until you get someone that can help.

Did a quick search on www.advfn.com ; they don't appear to be listed on any stock exchange. Maybe they have a different trading name? As suggested, the best way to find out is probably to ring them.

Yeah there is no phone numbers on the certificates only addresses. The one in Bligh street Sydney doesnt come up on white pages. ill keep investigating.

I did a quick google search on them and all I could come up with is that they used the services of UNSW in 2005 http://www.careers.unsw.edu.au/student/misc/clients/2005.aspx . Maybe, in a pinch, they could give you an address?

Quantum x21 Inc., do still exist and infact use the services of UNSW ( University of New South Wales, Sydney ) and are listed as registered with the University at the following link, about two thirds of the way down on the left: http://www.careers.unsw.edu.au/student/misc/clients/2005.aspx

If I find any further information I will post it. ( Mouse beat me to it by 8 minutes, still you've got the information twice now ).

Thanks guys. The stock certificate has a Nevada stamp on it. I have found a phone number for them in Las Vegas and will ring during there business hours.
