Those issues are better solved by taxation reform and hopefully Labor will grow some nuts and do it this term. Prosecute the case for a
cash flow tax to replace less efficient taxes. It won't happen under Albo so the Coalition will have to do it.
One driver of productivity is advances in technology and infrastructure. Eg: some running costs for self employed are lower than when I was running my business in the 80's, 90's. Centralised wages, 60% income tax, 17% interest rates, those good ole bag phones cost $$$ and the plan / call charges were exorbitant compared to today.
On the other hand cheaper petrol, road tolls, rego / insurance would be nice
