It does look like FAL squeaked in.
I'd amused myself with a few tasteless pre-written victory speeches, plus one graceless losing excuse, but am chastened by @Garpal Gumnut's sportsmanship, so in emulation of gg @Joe Blow pls put any prize towards admin or legal.
My nerves can't handle another one of these, I like a quiet life.
 
My 2nd prize to go in to the admin/legal fund as well thanks @Joe Blow . I don't believe I've ever enjoyed the monthly comp as much. Once again well done @finicky .

The August competition had 34 entries.

At the end of the month, there were 24 positive tips and 10 negative tips.

70.59% of all entries returned a profit.

Seventeen did better than 10 percent and two were above 100 percent for the month.

And now to the leading hand who is in charge at the steering end of the August Competition.
@barney through a totally miserable effort has gleaned this most coveted of positions, that is at the bottom of the totem pole.
Due to an influx of unseen wealth for this month, a new duster has been sourced, it has two feathers in it, a less than comfortable easy chair of doubtful heritage, a mass of reading material that has definitely seen better days, a supply of dire gut rot red some with the corks missing from the bottles and of course that most treasured prize of all, The certificate of Do Better Next Month.!!!!!!
 
Apologies for the delay all. Time got away from me last night.

Congratulations to @finicky, @Garpal Gumnut and @ShareSuccess for taking out the top three spots in the August 2025 stock tipping competition!

finicky finished in first place with an incredible 123.47% return with FAL. In second place was Garpal Gumnut who achieved an outstanding 120% return with SMS. Rounding out the top three for August was ShareSuccess who selected EPM, which returned a handy 57.89%. A very exciting finish this month with only few percentage points between first and second.
