Hi, I've just signed up. I'm studying and have an assignment where I have to select any ASX listed company and create a spreadsheet of 5 years financial statements (Income statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows and Carbon footprint (if available)). I've searched and can't see how to do this. I've seen software to do this for US exchanges but not ASX. Any suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks
Sorry to hear that, not helpful if people aren't appreciative of other people taking the time to answer a question they asked for help on. I'm here and would be really grateful for any help. A friend has put me on to signing up to Comm Sec and that's looking hopeful but not returning 5 year's data. From the financials I need to report profit after tax, cash flow from operations, return on assets. Then also carbon emissions (if poss). Thanks

I would suggest you look at a small company that way less complex, the ASX site has all previous company announcements, the info needed would be found in the annual report i imagine.
Thanks, I was looking at BHP but there were anomalies, so am looking at JB Hi-fi now. It's difficult to get back up for the Return on Assets as it's calculated on average assets and I only have the year-end balance sheet figures. Any suggestions for a small, simpler company?

Unlike a diversified miner that has both AU$ and US$ earnings such as BHP, it may be better to use a simpler company like JB Hi-Fi Limited (JBH) as you suggested. It has also been stable in the last 5 years in terms of no major business re-structures or mergers or acquisitions or stock splits or consolidations which makes year-on-year (YOY) analysis difficult. Here's the financial stats:
QuickFs.net has ten years free financial data on all companies listed on the ASX. Even better, you can download and use their excel plug in for free. You can create your own spreadsheets and calculations.
In addition, if you have Office 365 you can now pull in real-time stock information, like price and market cap, through Data > Data Types > Stock.
