AFL Footy

With the current AFL round, I somehow forgot to put in my tips for it.
Missed Thursday's game, remembered half an hour after it started so that's one win lost.
On a happier note, I got tonight's winner, Brisbane.
I have done that, now I put them in on Tuesday or Wednesday and then fine tune them later

I missed the final stages of the Freo and Collingwood game.
Great to see the most despised team in the Comp get beaten by 1 point and I tipped Freo to win this one.

I have started Round 20 in the AFL on a good note tonight by picking the Hawks to beat Carlton.
My winning points guess was 29 when the actual one is 24.

Two games of AFL played tonight. Neither was an inspiring game to watch unless you followed the winners.
It would appear that Carlton and Sydney have little to no interest in producing a game worth watching.
Soundly thrashed.
To date 3/3.

With the pointy end of the AFL season fast approaching one would surmise that the games played would be of a better nature.
The games played so far this weekend would hardly warrant attending to watch unless you are follower of the winners.
to date my picks have scored 4/5.

With the conclusion of the last AFL game tonight, was another very one-sided affair.
My only loss to date for this round is Brisbane being thrashed by the Gold Coast Suns.
tally to day 6/7.

The AFL and WAFL games played yesterday certainly jagged the good weather.
Today totally different weather, wet windy and cold with the chance of thunderstorms.

AFL Round 20 completed.
No games worthy of note, bar one all had excessive points win over the opponents.
I finished 8/9 with Gold Coast thrashing Brisbane my only loss.

Only just happened across your comments here Farmer. I am a NSW/elshman so AFL is not normally the order of the day. However, I really enjoy the AFL. Great sport on many levels, and generally played tough but with good spirit and respect.

I do have to take some umbrage with your earlier Collingwood comments however, as my wonderful wife is a "C" supporter (She probably sceretly finds Eddy Mac attractive but that conversation has never been persued, lol)

Curiously, no games of note? What did you think about the St Kilda history making 4th Quarter? Unbelievable!! :nailbiting:

@barney We only have Free to Air so no AFL was broadcast today.
Saw some of the highlights of St Kilda's game on the TV news.
Very impressive comeback and win.
Seeing Ross Lyon's reaction to Nasiah's mark and goal in the dying seconds was great footy.
Also I did pick St Kida to win.

After tonight's game of AFL footy I am sitting on 1/2.
Last night's game (Thursday) was a disaster and embarrassing.
GWS (my pick) were pathetic,
Even if they hadn't turned up for the game I doubt that the scire line would have been much different.
Professional footballers playing as if they didn't care.
Obviously way over payed for a performance such as this.
They should be made to donate their match payment to a charity.
Finish of rant

AFL Round 21 completed this afternoon with the Dockers getting out of strife with a good win.
I did tip Western Bulldogs and Collingwood to win their respective games, but obviously the money wasn't right on this occasion.
Final tally 7/9

Simon Goodwin the (was) coach of ALF club Melbourne given the flick with 1 years and 3 matches to go.
No loyalty for a coach who was a Premiership coach not so long ago.

Another disastrous pick for the Thursday night ALF opener.
Collingwood were given a football lesson tonight by Hawthorn.
Sadly I once again picked Collingwood to win.
Scoreline 0/1

Current round of AFL concluded today gave me 7/9
Collingwood and Brisbane were the downers for me in this round.
Looks as if Collingwood are pretenders for the finals.

We are very West Australian over here at the Swans, Farm.

Dean Cox coaching the Swans.
Matthew Pavlich CEO at the Swans.

Btw, Simon Goodwin has Sydney connections, up here talking to A.Kingsley at GWS.

Premiership flag 2025 = Brisbane for mine

After tonight's lesson that Brisbane gave the Dockers, they will be a hard act to follow.

Continued with my 7/9 successes in the AFL tipping. this weekend gone.
Fremantle's effort was beyond pathetic and the Eagles, well I don't know why they even bothered to turn up at the ground.

Freo in the AFL certainly pulled one out of the bag this afternoon with a good win over the western Bulldogs.
Hard fought game with the loser finishing the year's home and away games not being part of the finals.
If Freo keep producing quality performances like this one today, then they just might be a force to be reckoned with in the run up to the Premiership Flag.
