Gave up watching the Saints and Western Bulldogs tonight.
What a waste to put a game of this calibre on a Thursday night.
Should have been relegated to Saturday morning.
I did pick the doggies to win though.

AFL footy for last week, I finished with 5/7. Not much to crow about here.

Last night's AFL game, Geelong v Brisbane turned into utter embarrassment for the Cats, having their score doubled.
Only a die-hard Brisbane supporter would have picked them on their current form to win.
Consequently, I have 1/2 to date.

A rather sad day for the Eagles and Jermery McGovin as the AFL has forcibly retired him from playing again.
A good decision as he has had several concussion incidents over his playing career.
A fearless player who will be hard to replace and sadly missed by the club and spectators alike.

He had an interesting career. Tough start but ended up a champion.

Actually had a decent game of AFL on the Idiot Box tonight between Sydney Swans and (Footscray) Westen Bulldogs.
Had to be one of the best Friday night games for some time with a close last quarter.
My picks so far sit at 2/2.

I won 44c in the tipping comp, hardly moved up the ladder though

Actually had a decent game of AFL on the Idiot Box tonight between Sydney Swans and (Footscray) Westen Bulldogs.

@macca I tipped 7/7 this week. Much better result than some of the previous weeks.

In the AFL footy so far this week, the three games played the winning teams all scored over 100 points, whilst the losing three teams got nowhere near this tally.
As of tonight 3/3.

With the weather here in Perth forecast to be a real winters day I was able to sit and watch the Sydney v Dockers game.
Though the Dockers had a slim chance in the last quarter to snatch the lead, it was not to be.
So my tally at the end of Round 17 is 8/9.
I did pick the Dockers to win, but it was always going to be a tough one to win at the Sydney ground

Since the comp started you have had other things to worry about, now that you are back on your feet it will give you something to chase

After tipping Collingwood to win tonight's game against the Gold Coast SunsI along with many other got it wrong.
When we tuned in the Suns had a very handy lead.
The last quarter it was Collingwood's to win, but time beat them.
Perhaps a draw would have been a fairer result.
Anyway, after two games I sit 1/2

My tipping for this current round of AFL is not that great 3/3 at present.
But the game on TV tonight, the Dockers v Hawks was a ripper.
Both sides had a lot to play for, possibly the Dockers more so, as a win elevated them back into the 8.

With the current AFL round, I somehow forgot to put in my tips for it.
Missed Thursday's game, remembered half an hour after it started so that's one win lost.
On a happier note, I got tonight's winner, Brisbane.
